I had the 300 series for more than 5 oversea trip... excellent backpack.

maybe for reference, the 200 might look only a little smaller than 300, but only the 300 can accomodate a camera with hand grip attached. :)

Some of the photos taken from Alphadslr.com.. See for urself..:)

I have no bad experiences with the bag... Just got a blue one as well and prefer the blue, so I'll sell the black. :)
just paid $110 to this friendly seller for a new bag .....

Hi all,

Can a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod be mounted on the Flipside 200? Also, are there accessory pouches for the 200, such as a water bottle holder?

Not to concerned about the weight, quite used to carrying heavy bags hehe. All I need is a compact bag that'll fit most stuff.

Thanks in advance!

Had the Flipside 300 for my recent trip. Really works... Although a little concious of people starring during the 1st few times when I had to change lens, but I just need to slip off the shoulder strips (with the waist strap clipped on, of course!), turn the bag around, open it, and change the lens, and then close it, turn it back and slip in the should pads and done... No need to take it down and open it. Nice!

Can the flipside 300 be carried into the plane cabin?

should not have a problem. i put it side by side with the lowepro mini-trekker AW yesterday at the shop. amazing thing is dat while they are roughly the same capacity, the flipside has a slimmer profile. the mini-trekker can definitely be carried up the plane. BTDT.

got my flipside 300 yesterday at $120-ish. ;)

i disagree, the mini trekker has much much more capacity than the flipside 300. it was definitely too big for me, so i sold mine and got the flipside 300 instead which was just right + a little more room for expansion.

Yes, definitely. I took my flipside 300 plus a large laptop backpack on board 2 flights without any issues. It fits comfortably in the overhead bin of even the tiny Airbus A319.:bsmilie:

well... the flipside can actually fit in a pro-DSLR + 300mm lens. the mini-trekker max out at 70-200mm. i once tried to squeeze an AFS300/2.8 into the mini-trekker, almost burst the seams, and that it after removing most of the inserts. ;)

this is from lowepro's site. the differences are minor as u can see.

23 X 13.8 X 40.5 cm (mini-trekker)
28 X 12.5 X 37 cm (flipside 300)

I see. I was speaking from personal experience since i owned it before. There is a big difference :)

anyone here can comment on fastpack vs flipside? TIA
