Low stock 50D?

yeah i do weddings occasionally. i'm no pro...i juz so happen to be doing this cuz i interned at a productions company. hmm, will the 50D price drop? yeah perhaps $200 if we look back at the 40D vs 50D price diff?

standard package ah? kit 1 is the 18-55 lens right? hmm...
i only got...
- a bag
- 4Gb CF card

actually thats all. no tripod, nuthin.

oh okiez.. Curious about which production company are u working with.. able to share ^^

IMO, Canon usually retain their price of camera body especially entry level... once the new replacement comes, the old one price will drop a bit, and slowly 'fade away' from market.

500D has been released for about 6 month++ in SG, and 450D is a bit hard to find now.

for standard package of 50D, refer Canon Sg website, all reputable shops usually sell according to the freebies as offer in the Canon website.

u mean worked with? hehe...well i think its best to keep it confidential. i wasn't even allowed to bring images and videos i took out of their walls without authorisation. not a pleasant place to work at. its been over 2 yrs already, now i'm doing NS - the last 6 mths! woohoo!

you can improve your knowledge in many ways - thru books, the web, friends etc.

Hi BrownInu, actually i have not tried or use the 17-55mm canon before. Therefore can't really comment.

thanks for the advices brothers. i think i'll stick to my 50D for the nxt 4 yrs. lol...wanna focus on my skills + acquiring the lenses i need to get the shots i want.

actually i knew 7D was coming but i doubted 50D would drop because of nikon's d90 which is a mid range slr competition. 50d is supposedly a semi pro. nikon's 18-105 kit was and still 1700 and i bought my 50D at 1850 without lcd protector and UV filter last september. primarily i was looking for the 40D and didn't find any store selling it.

oh well, that's life. anybody knows the shutter count of 50D? i'm thinking of using it all before warranty expires to get even :devil:

100,000~150,000 i guess.

Even my 450D only reached no more than 18,000 after 13 months of usage. Shutter count advanced the most during F1, advanced by 2,500.

mine is already at 8000/- after 5 months. should be able to last 4 years at least.

OT a bit: Tamron 17-50 As good as EFS 17-55, unless view at 50% or 100% zoom in.
