I think it's way more than $50 for first-timer now...

the police report (u probably lodged a lost property report) is not required for replacement of NRIC unless u were robbed (even if the wallet was pickpocketed, u cannot apply for waiver) or your house was burglared, or it was lost as a result of some event that was entirely out of your control, eg, u were involved in an accident (touch wood) and the paramedic had to throw your pants (containing your wallet) away.

Of coz, if u get an MP to write a letter for you, that's a different story. :)

minister..haha...i have no idea who's mine

u may wish to find the relevant info for replacement of IC here.

anyway, i'm luckier. me oso lost my wallet in the late afternn yesterday... left it on the bench of Buona Vista mrt station & went on to board the train (din even realise its loss until I reach my destination Tanjong Pagar mrt)... but some kind soul picked it up & brought it to the station control, not a single cent lost. :)

seem like that's still hope... :)

Also remember to inform National Library...

I've since stopped carrying my NRIC around already. No good reason for it, and losing it costs a fair bit to replace.

You pretty much only need your IC to: Get married, buy house, buy car, connect phoneline/utilities; generally these are things that you don't do everyday. Only need then bring out...

think your wallet would have ended up in the bin after been found soon...with the money emptied of coz.....lost in an arcade...probably picked up by some joystick wielding beng or specky nerd specializing in kof. lol

ok on a serious note...think go replace all the important cards...like atm cards, library cards, ic....etc etc...those tat are able to be used by others. Ok maybe my advice is repetitive with those above....juz wanna lighten the mood juz in case u r depressed. :D
