Thanks Apan and Kxdd,

most of the images were taken with my 16-35 mark 1 or 24-105 on the 5D classic, with the 100-400 paired with a 450d used on the long tele shots of wildlife :)

man i miss my 5D classic!
Any filters applied for most of the shots? I realized that despite your shots shooting right in the sun, the level of details are pretty crisp. Pardon me as I am learning to take better shots like yours. Really inspired to learn more after seeing your pictures.

Just the normal UV filter for most of the shots most of the time, circular polariser filter used for some of the shots in the glacier/snow mountain. Using a high F stop helps in cases where the sun is within the frame

I see... Thanks for your kind advise! Will try that on my next trip after my exams! Busy preparing for exams now...

you're welcome. good luck for your exams then!

any tips on how to outfit the 5d classic in such weather conditions? I'm quite concerned about camera failure during my upcoming trip to a -20C region... please advise, as i'm intending to bring a 5d over. thanks in advance~ =D

there's no need to specially outfit the camera in anything, just keep your batteries charged and warm. Bring a couple of spare batteries as they tend to loose charge more quickly in cold temperatures.

use a uv filter to protect the lens element from snow/rain.

Wow this is the first thread I've read of a photoshoot in a faraway land. Really great Shots ! I'm very inspired to increase my knowledge (still beginner) and hope to take such quality pictures when I go Alaska next summer !

just want to ask which lend did you use for the flares...
