hi guys... some of you will find this a familiar problem: the eh-7 eyepiece cup is a little loose, and can drop out, so may lose it. same thing if you want to use nikon viewfinder stuff like the dk-21m manifying eyepiece.

these items are not that expensive, but not so easy to find stock in singapore, so very annoying to replace. does anyone have any suggestions on how to mod them so they have a tighter fit?

at the moment i'm using bluetack, seen another cs'er also doing that. does anyone have any better ideas? prefer a more permanent, fixed-shape type of solution, not so... sticky...

thanks in advance

Not sure if this will work, cut a thin strip of gaffer tape and put it around the frame of the viewfnder.

won't work lah... actually i got 1 kinda adhesive, machiam like post-it pad kinda adhesive, will not permanently stick, but den i also dun wanna try lah... hehehe...

actually the simplest is to make the gap on the accessories smaller nia wat, maybe stick 2 tooth pic on each side of the bracket... might work thou...

hmm thx for suggestions. i will go and try the tape and the post-it adhesive (i have something like that, but not very sticky. nmind, try and see)

aiyah, thought maybe you got some machine or something that can add to the thickness of the adapter. i very suaku about hardware things one... :sweatsm:

err.. i think its close to impossible to make a 'ring' to clip to your viewfinder & accessories... its possible if u spend like 200-500 for CNC and titanium... cos its only .5mm thick... :bsmilie:

me using white tack..
what's wrong bro...?
Ok right?
if can find black sure better..

blutack sticks to the camera, very troublesome if want to clean. plus blutack/whitetack can become very horrible if it gets too old. sigh, maybe can look for very thin mounting tape or something.

scrape some adhesive from gaffer tape (these things are supposed to NOT leave a mark right?) with a spoon, use tweezers to apply onto the eyepiece and it should not fall off or leave a mark next time when you remove it. its only troublesome if you want to remove the eyepiece to use a viewfinder...

u got try b4?... i doubt so leh...

on a viewfinder, no. no need to yet. but it beats glue...
