Looking to Rent Underwater Fuji F30 Casing

Chances of finding someone to rent you a underwater housing is slim.

Since the F30 is just a regular size compact, yet not consider getting 1 of those Aquapac thingy? Cheap and waterproof.

If you are snorkling or just splashing water, Aquapac is good enough. Think you can go 5m with it (and 5m is quite a lot).

The housing is good only if you are diving (up to 30m usually). But think abt it. If you are going beyond a few metres, the visibility will be bad, bad, bad.

You will need a strobe (can't work with compact), or a very strong flash light.

BTW, mind sharing where are you going and the purpose of it?

Yeah, when I was reading up on the aquapac, the specifications stated a max depth of 5 m.

Headed to Perhentian for a dive, and thought that with the F30, I can get some kind of decent shots with high isos. I understand that the visibility won't be that great at low depths, and to get good shots I will need a strobe, but thought I would give it a try if I could borrow or rent an underwater casing from someone.

Good luck on your underwater shoot then.

Remember, when you are diving in the water the temperature is cold. Once you get up onto the boat, the rise in temperature will probably result in some vapours in the housing.

Remember to check it all the time.

Will only have to take that into consideration if I can find a housing to begin with, ha. Not too sure if I want to actually spend a couple hundred dollars for an item which I would probably use sparingly.
