Looking to Help Event Photographers

Hi all,
I am new and keen photographer.
Not much experience but want to gain more through exposure given by people who are keen to share.
I have been wanting to get my hands on event photography.
I am keen to be back up or event assist pro photographers in their job.
Events like fashion, conference, Exhibitions and event actual day wedding photo shot.
Not too sure if anyone is interested in asking me to assist them.
