No point picking on the TS. Different people have different decisions.
THE QUESTION AS TO WHO TOOK THE WEDDING PHOTOS IS NOT IMPORTANT, THE FUTURE 60 ODD YEARS DOWN THE ROAD IS MORE IMPORTANT.
How shallow can one get? What's so big deal about a wedding photo? My grandpa and grandma had no wedding photos at all, and my dad and mum's wedding photographer is a friend of theirs (who was a factory technician). Pardon me, I am those practical type. I don't see why good wedding pics will ensure good and blissful life ahead. They don't even related. A happy life must be engineered by the couple and how they handle matters in life.
Now, for the photo issue. Ask yourself. No doubt the pros are highly-skilled and can produce very nice wedding pics, but are they willing to photograph each and every guest? Of course not! In my last (or first) wedding shoot, I made it a point to take at least 2 photos for each guest at their dinner. When I gave them the CDs (about 900 pics), they were so happy! Yes, I did not get paid for it and maybe the photos are not so artistically inclined, but I was happy because they were happy.
