Hi guys,

I new to videography and just bought a videocam.

I'm thinking of using my exisiting tripod to do panning shots. But the existing tripod is the PPCP tripod and I'm looking for a attachment/head with a handle to attach to my exisiting tripod in order to pan.

Is there such an attachment/head that can fit my PPCP tripod and where can I find it?

I thinking of not getting another tripod for videocam as I do not want to lug both tripods (for camera and videocam) along. Thinking of bringing a tripod with 2 heads (one for camera and one for videocam) so that I can interchange as needed.

Hope you understand what I meant.

Thanks

Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. You'll have to keep changing heads and after a while it could become tedious. May I suggest that you get a video tripod instead. Manfrotto has a couple of small video heads like the 700RC2 or 701RC2 which can do the job. Check out their website.

yeah...do check out the Manfrotto Medeve series. meant for video with a mini ballhead adjustment for levelling. Very lightweight & compact.

Am using the 700series head with carbon fibre support...highly recommended.

thanks guys..

will go check it out

Manfrotto tripods are too heavy for me leh... why can't they be as light as the sliks?

are you using the 701HDV? where to get them? :dunno:
