Due to the high cost for repair of my camcorder. I'm looking for someone to repair my camcorder.

It a Sony DCR-PC100.

Sony charges for everything, even at the pro models. I don't thinks its worth fixing if your cam is under 1k, why don'y buy a new samsung, comes with 2 years warranty, good service, and they make consumer end Sony camcorders.

Oh ya. The price they charge can buy me a new one. Was quoted $800 +. I'm looking for a mini DV tape camcorder. Does Samsung has a model?

Feel a bit sad cos I bought this 5 years ago and it cost me 3K.

Yes I believe they have good one for under $800. Not sure of model

Yes, Sony repair charges are outrageous.
May want to consider another Sony unit so you can use the old batteries (another expensive item).
