Looking for Photographers to share studio space.

Hi All,

I have a photographer friend looking for ppl to share studio with.

He is currently still looking for a place with reasonable and manageable rental. Estimated rental for a 1200 to 1500 sqft studio at some industrial park which is not too off town is around $3000 to $3500. He is hoping that he could share the space and cost with 2 or 3 photographers here. Any photographers here keen in starting their own studio?

Or in any case, if there are any photographers here looking for ppl to share studio space with, please PM me and I will ask him to respond to you soonest.

Please note.. as he has not find the space yet.. it may take afew weeks/months before the studio will be up.

Around genting lane, near SPH newscenter, there are warehouses units going for about S$1.40 per sq feet. that's about S$2000-2500/- for 1200 to 1500 sq feet you are looking at.

Closer to town, Henderson industrial park or bukit merah's a good area. but the cost per sq feet's higher about S$1.60 to S$2.50 per sq feet.

Ubi's side is a pretty popular place for big studios. There's a bert lighting studio and a couple of other big ones at Enterprise One area. These are big studios used by television commercials productions, photographers sometimes rent them too for shoot.

Jln. Pemimpin, like LambandMo, said, can be a good choice since circle MRT line's comin soon.

it's lesser known as a place for photo studios but it can work.

IMHO, it's good to set up studios in areas where other studios exist too. it's just like the way camera shops tend to clutter around Funan, Peninsula and Aldephi area.
there used to be a cluster at Henderson where Mark Law, Wee Khim, Joyce Choo, Alvin Tan and a few others had their studio within blocks of one another. Too bad the rental prices went up
