Hi, I'll be travelling to Paris for holiday with my finacee, and I wish to engage a photographer to do a half/one day photoshoot for us with the romantic Paris backdrop. These photos will be used in our wedding album. Anyone have any contacts of someone stationed in Paris between 19th to 23rd May 2010?

- Budget S$500-$800 (Don't mean to lowball but I am not doing an actual wedding photoshoot)
- Can communicate in English
- half/one day shoot
- photographer needs not be professional, but need to know where are the best locations (at least 3 spots), what to pose, etc. Will need to see online portfolio.
- I do not need any prints. Just post processed photos in a DVD.

If you know anyone, please help! Drop me a PM!

Thanks!!

I don't mean to make fun, but I'm just really curious.

Know where to shoot, what to pose, got online portfolio (presumably to sell his services), not called professional is called what ah?

Your best bet is to Google, and search on the flickr and pbase bases.

Alternatively, post up on US/Europe based forums.

All the best in your search.

If you would like me to shoot for you, I could give you romantically captivating photos, but basics need to be covered.

CHEERS!

having an online portfolio, knowing how to pose someone, and having a rough ball sense of where to shoot portraits shots in paris, that can be done with anyone.

loads of hobbyists have "online portfolios" and sell their services in that manner, that doesn't mean that they derive their income from photography - which is the definition of a "professional photographer".

Thanks for the clarification, night86mare, that's exactly what I meant. I don't think knowing where to shoot will be difficult for locals over there. Online portfolio, a lot of people would have a flickr account or something so at least I can see their style of work.

Speaking of which, I checked out some photographers in Paris, but personally I find the style of shooting is quite different between SG photographers and Western photographers. The tone, the colour, the composition, the lightings, they all look at bit old school for me. They look exactly like those pictures I see on photography books that I borrow from library. Do you guys find that difference in "western photographers"?

For example:

Dream Merchant, thanks for the offer but I don't have the budget to fly anyone to Paris, therefore I am looking for a local there. Can you kindly share with me any Europe base forums if you know any? Thanks!

Hi all, especially night86mare, thank you for your input! I have found a Singaporean who happens to be in Paris during that period so he will help me shoot within my budget.

Thanks again!
