i have 1 black one use them since army ... 1991? and now still hooking in my key chain, throw them here and there, scratch by key and hardly got scratches, maybe the corners and hard to see. bulb after so many yrs still ok and behind the maglite got 1 free bulb too. Cost like $15-18.

nah... maglite not bright enough 
and got problem with solitaire's switch, have to twist it off on few times to get full brightness.
my current favourite AAA sized light is ARC AAA, uses LED
runtime is 5 hours in bright mode (sun mode), and another 5 hours in dimmer mode (moon mode)
