Good Day,

What is the best basic DSLR camera and lens to buy for the beginners?

Thanks in advance

Oh no, not the dreaded best camera discussion again! *haha*

Any such discussion will be LOADED with personal biases. There is no one BEST beginner camera.
If you're looking for a general camera for day-to-day or travel shooting, just about ANY brand would do -- you have to find out which you prefer. Within a brand, start of light and easy. With Canon and Nikon (and I only mention them because they are the big 2)look a their basic models(Canon 750D/750D, Nikon D3400, I think) with a kit lens, and go from there.
When you go to the store, bring a photo enthusiast friend along for help and support.

Oh, if you can, borrow a set from a friend to try out. It may not be what you want, but will help you determine what features are important to you.

May I ask if you have considered DSLM or Mirrorless?

Hi,

B4 I bought my 1st camera, I had a tough time deciding. I read reviews, went through YouTube videos (for "live" demo) and talked to friends. I came up with a list of features/functions that are impt to me. With the list, I zoomed into a few models that contain as many features that are impt to you, as possible.

The buying decision came after handling the camera(s) in the store. If can, rent the particular model(s) you are keen.

Factors to consider
Budget
Portability (size)
Camera handling (form)
Fast auto focus (my subjects are kids)
Focus accuracy
Performance in low light (if you shoot mainly at night)
Weather resistance

Start with the kit lens first. If you are into protraiture shooting, you can consider the 50mm. Can't go wrong :-)
Any additional lens, get it after you have shot with your new camera and know what you like to shoot. This process may take weeks.

There is no best

There is only the best for YOU

And for that you must try them

Because what I think feels good and makes sense

May not work for you

All of you answered a troll? Look at the date.
Does she need to come here to ask?

Also... there isn't such thing as BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, once your cup's full, you're not going to learn anything.
If you think you're good, there's someone whose even more creative and talented than you. Hence it's always an ongoing, learning process

Indeed, looking into the details one can find so many amusing items. LinkedIn shows one recommendation given to a Kelly Mortimer, and she in return wrote a recommendation to a Harold who is not even shown as owner of the company. So let's stop wasting bandwidth for the troll. Closed.
