Looking for a new camcorder

Hi guys,

I plan on buying a new camcorder for mostly general use. I am part of an activist group so I will also be using it to film some speeches etc indoors/outdoors (w/ a tripod).

Mostly I will be recording and directly uploading it onto the web.

- Budget is about 500 euro (700 USD)
- I have the average computer...

I would greatly appreciate your input.

Sanyo Xacti HD2000 could be better for your budget. It is slightly better than the Canon in low light and does not require a fast computer to view the clip. Canon records in AVCHD which is processor intensive.
