I can just barely make out the white paint-brush strokes on the nearest bolt but the other 4 are just white blobs. it doesn't make the picture any better, frankly the only part i love in the picture is the beautifully coloured & textured rope twine and bolt.
What is required is an off-shoe flash softly directed at the shadows, then you can shoot with a smaller aperture. DOF is very obviously thin and the composition already makes the nearest bolt appear unattached to the rest of the structure.
In this case, try to capture detail on whites and let the shadows fall, within limits. If you cannot control the highlights then remove them from composition.
