The current Celtics coach Doc Rivers like to rotate his line up. Then there was one coach Rick Pitino selected good players but dont know how to develop and position them properly.

it is the same in any team sports.

need consistency and gel-ing of the players.

yup, need a consistent line-up of players like what manutd always does. slight changes at most. the understanding is there, the system is in place.

liverpool haf too many style and formation and the consistent chopping and changing of players and tactics doesn't help.

but try telling that to rafa. it might work in the european front but not in the epl.

No hard feeling, bro, I think Liverpool will take at least two seasons before they can seriously challenge ManU and Chelsea for the EPL title. With alot of chopping and buying, the whole team will go thru' a big makeover which will take some time to gel and play as a cohesive team. You can't expect instant gratification in just one season. Give them sometime and am sure they can be mention in the same breath as the top two teams. Am sure a short term pain is better than a long term suffering with a lot of misfiring players.

U r def are realistic. I noe of LFC fans , thru blind faith, thinks that LFC can emulate the glory years.

SAF had to rebuild after the 2004 season when they lost the EPL to Arsenal.

The amount spent is one thing but buying the right players is the most important thing. Make sure buy the right players and don't be like Chelsea which bought expensive duds like Ballack and Shevchenko and ended up with no CL and EPL titles which they craved the most. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Buying a striker from Eastern Europe for free. Cant remember his name. I thought it is a bit ridiculous. Where got good striker let go for free unless nearing retirement

yeah buying the right players. What positions we need den we buy. Chelsea buy so many midfielders and strikers, but where is their reserve defenders?? moron crying during mid season that he don have the $$ to buy defenders.

the glory years are not truly behind us. there is a chance we can recapture the good old days but only if the leading club, manutd, stop making progress.
