so close yet so far...

maybe i can wait for another season.
its closer than u think...just wait...not too long lah i hope also...but i have confident...

what has Evans achieve to be like fergie? fergie broke the dominance in scottish football when he brought the scottish title with aberdeen,i think ,when rangers/celtics were all so powerfull...

how many seasons did fergie need to win his 1st trophy? what trophy was his 1st?

u mentioned we were supposed to win...with the midfield intact...why so? when we didnt win it last season?

i understand your frustrations after so long we've not taste the english title...

lets be more +ve...lets enjoy every games...let those people concern think about team selections...$$$ to build new stadiums...buying of new players,etc...

we are here to support the team...i wore the RED LFC shirt the very day after the 2-0 lose to chelski, now tell me how many supporters,of other teams do that...i proud to support LFC...win lose or draw...thats all that matters...

we were playing positive football under roy evans. manCircle utd were scared of us! they were the strongest back then by a mile, with eric can-tok-man, a young ryan giggs! a flying lee sharpe! a fiercesome strike force with andrew cole!

but we managed to pin them down 2-0 at Anfield and twice led in Old Toilet in a 2-2 draw!

as for last season, i've stated my reasons very clearly. raf999 screwed it up big time by being a kuniang n opted for a more cautious and kuniang approach when we played KKJ teams. :)

lost only twice the whole season n ended up 2nd. :bsmilie:

:dunno:
bro cheesecake said he disillusioned liao...pls bring him back on track...:bsmilie:

GILLETT FOR LIVERPOOL SALE TALKS - REPORT
Posted 08/10/09 09:06

Liverpool co-owner George Gillett is reportedly travelling to the Middle East to sell his 50% stake in the club.

The Daily Mirror reports that Gillett will travel to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday for talks with Prince Faisal bin Fahd.

Prince Faisal was a guest of Gillett's at Anfield earlier this season, when both parties claimed that his company F6 Sports was simply discussing investment in a youth academy for Liverpool in Saudi Arabia and North Africa.

The paper claims Gillett will stay for three days in order to thrash out a deal, and claims 'sources in the Middle East' are 'convinced' that it will be concluded.

When reports emerged in September that Prince Faisal was in discussions with Gillett, both owners released a cautiously worded statement denying any deal had been done.

'The owners have jointly retained Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and Rothschild to evaluate the possibility of new investors injecting equity into LFC. However, the process is at an early stage.

'There is no agreement with any party, and reports to the contrary are wholly inaccurate.'

Gillett himself followed that up by saying: "We had a marvellous meeting with them on Saturday and they were impressed with the club, but the academies in Saudi Arabia and North Africa and their possible involvement in NASCAR-type racing in the Middle East were the only items on the agenda.

"We have entered into a period of exclusive discussions regarding the possibility of introducing NASCAR-type racing to the Middle East, but the memorandum of understanding does not cover anything else."

In a meeting with a supporter's group at the weekend, Gillett suggested that both he and Hicks had more long term plans for the club.

He said that he would 'love to' build a new stadium, while defending the debt the club are currently in and claimed to have invested "£128 million in to buy players on top of what's come in in the last 18 months."

If the deal is to go through, it may be complicated by a reported agreement between Gillett and co-owner Tom Hicks, by which each man is given first refusal on the other's shares, should they wish to sell.

the sale better go through ... then sign david villa hahaha

it need both the other cowboy to agreed before he can sell right?

Torres suffers injury scare

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres limped out of a training session with the Spanish national team on Wednesday night after suffering a groin injury.

Fernando Torres limped out of Spain training
• Villa ruled out for Spain

The talismanic forward abandoned La Roja's preperations ahead of their World Cup qualifying double header with Armenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina as precautionary measure and continued to work out in the gym.

The 25-year-old should be fit for Saturday's match at the Republican Stadium although coach Vicente del Bosque, who is already without hamstrung Valencia forward David Villa, is unlikely to take any kind of risk with the 25-year-old as Spain have already qualified for World Cup 2010.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez will be keen to have his star striker returned safely to Anfield as Torres has been in top form so far this season, scoring eight goals in just seven Premier League games.

Spain also have concerns over Barcelona midfielder Xavi and Fenerbahce striker Dani Guiza who pulled out of the training session.
