1st game of the season n i m saying for sure that the title is gone. :thumbsd:
stupid to have tried to sell alonso the previous season.
even a blind man can see that alonso strings the midfield together!
now our midfield is like toufu. anyone with eyes can see that now!
LFC without alonso is like we have lost our master arm. now we have to try to work around this situation n try to alter the way we play.

Good morning LFC bros + those closet fans...
Dont worry lah,its only the 1st game of the season...look at manure's game lastnite & u'd say they r lucky to win...manure minus cristina=nothing...its real...
Anyway,like i said before,spurs away is always going to be a tough game for LFC...always...we lost there last season...so? Its the home draws that we need to convert to wins...
This season,i think the champions will lose more than 4 games...remember manC will be knocking on the top 4 doors...
I read all this no alonso no title thing...i have to agree & disagree...
Agreed...alonso did superbly well last season...scoring some goals,holding our midfield together...can change the game when needed to...
But what did he do the previous season? That prompt Rafa to make him available for sale...plus the 6+5 thing comes to Rafa's mind...
In the end alonso left...are we saying we are dead? Nope,never...LFC will always be bigger than any single player be it alonso or even Torres or Gerrard.
We will find our rythm...once we have our momentum,we will kick ass...one game lost doesnt end the season. Lets be positive...we still have 37 great games to come...

Something to add about alonso...the season Rafa wants to seel him,he didnt play well...his asking price...15million? Any taker? None...

Haiz.. i have to admit we do miss alonso, as despite we played 5 midfielders against spurs' 4, we still unable to control the midfield. I have to say i am very disappointed by the performances of the team, only Reina, Johnson and Benayoun is up to standard.
I sense a lack of sharpness and also tiredness which i guess could be due to the midweek internationals, still it's no excuse. Tactically, i think Rafa has reverted back to his defensive formation again, which really puzzles all when everyone can see how well liverpool plays last season when we go on attacking mode.
Good thing is we know we wont go undefeated and i rather we lose now then during later part of the season. Just hope we start to play well, starting from Wed.
One thing to add, i think we really need another CD and a striker, looking at how injury prone Agger is, a CD is really a priority. Maybe we will sign Turner from Hull..

where got 5 midfielders? only marsch was playing, the other 3 were just making up numbers, Gerrard was played as a striker
we had additional support when Benayoun came on
most of the match, the midfield was almost non-existant

with Lucas the 'Fake Brazilian" ,"Babble",Voronin,Ngog,El Zhar,Dossena ....how to win? The team has never improved lor compared to the rest! Die liao ,think i cannot watch anymore for this season coz will lose all my hair although this is the 1st match but with Rafa's STUBBORNNESS n safe-ass tactics i doubt we can improve much esp if Torres n Gerard is injured. Spur's forward lineup is by far much better with very good subs like Crouch (why did we sell him?) ,Pv'chenko,etc.
We really have to grab someone like Robben,Van der Vart or Sneijder ,etc..............\sigh....knew this wld happen ..............

Babbel did nothing except he did all the hard work run to pressure. His crosses, passes, touches are not up to standard.
