Steven Gerrard and Dirk Kuyt both beat their best ever goal tallies for Liverpool as they both scored in Liverpool's 2-0 victory away to WBA.

Gerrard's first half effort was his 16th EPL goal of the season and he has now also beaten his career best of 23 goals in the 05/06 season.

Dirk Kuyt's 12th EPL goal of the season sees him top his 14 goal tally achieved in the 06/07 season.

Gerrard expects manager Rafael Benitez to add to his squad this summer and is optimistic about their chances for next term.
The 28-year-old told The People: "The couple of signings the manager will make this summer are really key to us getting over that final hurdle, because we know that maybe with a couple of per cent more we could have won it this time.
