Man City attackers were quite pacey, so Liverpool really have to be on their toes to defend against them. The 1st goal was a result of a lapse by Liverpool defence.

reason is simple, carra and hyypia are not the fast pace players. In most cases, usually CD are not the fastest, instead it will be be the LB and RB who will covers the CD and we have players like Riise (rem his own goals) and Finnan (slow and steady guy).
