Liverpool are being linked with a £14 million raid on long-term Arsenal target Jadson.
TalkSPORT reports that the Brazilian international is being lined-up as a replacement for Lucas Leiva, who is out for the season on Merseyside after damaging his Anterior Cruciate Knee ligament in the League Cup in midweek.
Speculation is already rife over which midfielders Kenny Dalglish will be chasing in January, with Jadson joining Yann M'Vila and Seydou Keita as possible Liverpool targets when the transfer window re-opens.
Should the Scot decide against looking to bring a new face to Anfield, academy graduate Jay Spearing could be handed the midfield reigns, with Liverpool club captain Steven Gerrard still out through injury.
Whilst it's noted that the Shakhtar Donetsk star would not be a 'like-for-like' replacement for Lucas, the 28-year-old would be able to fill a number of possible roles within the Liverpool midfielder, with his versatility enabling Jadson to play in both a defensive and attacking role.
