Reina underlines Reds commitment

Pepe Reina has dismissed speculation about his future by insisting he is fully committed to Liverpool.
Reina recently suggested he would reconsider his position at the end of the season in light of his desire to compete for trophies, and it was claimed in one newspaper that he had told boss Roy Hodgson he was unhappy and wanted to leave the club.
Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with a move for Reina but, after he committed to a six-year contract last season, he says he has no intention of moving on.
"I have seen a newspaper has made this suggestion," he told the club's official website. "It is completely untrue. I have not told the manager that I wish to leave in January, or at any other time. It is important our fans know this.
"I have a long-term contract at Liverpool and I am fully committed to the club. Our new owner met me and some of the other players last week and I was very happy with what he told me."
He added: "The entire squad and staff are working very hard to get us back competing at the top of the table. We will not be distracted by inaccurate media speculation."
Peter Schmeichel had said there were "very, very strong" rumours around Old Trafford that Reina could succeed Edwin van der Sar.
Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard has said the NESV takeover should help the side to finish in the top four this season.
"Everyone wants to go onto the football pitch with everything right off the pitch and Liverpool had a hard 12 months with what's been going on off the pitch," he said. "We certainly wouldn't use it as an excuse for results on the pitch but it is nice and refreshing to know that we're in safe hands now.
"Everyone wants to move the club forward and everyone can concentrate on the football and on making headlines on the back pages rather than the front."
He added: "At the beginning of the season, our target was top four and that hasn't changed, but at the moment I don't want to get carried away.
"We are still in a position in the league we are not totally happy with so we need to keep this run going and see where it takes us."

The sooner we have replacement for RH,the better our chance of being in the top 4...we're wasting time with RH...i remember when we were 2nd few seasons back,the manager got kicked left right centre for drawing too many games yet not got into relegation position...the current manager still got loving support from fans here for losing and placed us in the bottom 3 few weeks back...:thumbsd: im only being nice to RH bcoz hes a LFC current manager...im supporting him not bcoz hes a good manager but bcoz im forced to...:angry:
