Louya Leiva to leave?

Satay Sauce!!!

Another Reds midfielder that rumours won't go away about leaving Anfield are Lucas. The Brazilian has been linked with Palermo recently with it rumoured that the Italian side had a €6m (£4.99m) offer rejected last month.

It's believed that Lucas is valued at around 8m however their Sporting Director Walter Sabatini feels that a deal could be struck at around £6m, as he explained to Mediagol.it:

'Is there a dialogue with Liverpool for Lucas Leiva?

'Yes, there is still a dialogue even if it is a marginal dialogue. Do Liverpool say he is unsellable - I believe that there is room for flexibility.

'How much would he cost? They evaluate him at €10million (£8.31m) but with €6-7 million I think maybe that the deal could be closed if the club would be willing to invest that figure.'

Sabatini is confident of signing the Brazilian international however, Roy could be tempted to part with him at the right offer.

Liverpool close to signing Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen

Roy Hodgson hopes to complete the signing of the Denmark international Christian Poulsen in the next 48 hours and is close to bolstering his back-room staff with the arrival of Mike Kelly from Fulham.

Poulsen, the Juventus midfielder, has been allowed to withdraw from Denmark's friendly with Germany on Wednesday to discuss personal terms with Liverpool and to undergo a medical on Merseyside. The 30-year-old will cost around £6m and could make an immediate debut against Arsenal in the league on Sunday, with Javier Mascherano seeking a move to Internazionale and Lucas Leiva not due back from Brazil's friendly against the USA in New Jersey until Friday.

Liverpool are keen on bringing Peter Crouch back to Anfield but not at the £14m they have been quoted for the Tottenham Hotspur striker. The club's next import is likely to be Kelly, Hodgson's goalkeeping coach and assistant manager at Fulham, who has been offered a similar role at Anfield. The club are also interested in the Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones, subject of a rejected £2m bid last week.

Huang wants to meet with S.O.S. & ShareLiverpoolFC

a statement issued today by SpiritOfShankly and ShareLiverpoolFC it was revealed that Mr. Kenny Huang would like to meet with representatives of both organisations when he (Mr. Huang) visits Liverpool.

Needless to say this is a very positive sign that Huang wants to hear the fans concerns, so far so good Mr. Huang.

Here is the full statement

Spirit of Shankly – ShareLiverpoolFC have been approached by the representatives of Mr. Kenny Huang who has restated his position as the representative of a serious bid for the ownership of Liverpool FC.

They have stated that Mr. Huang intends to be in Liverpool in the near future and he has asked to meet with representatives of Spirit of Shankly – ShareLiverpoolFC. They have said that the reason he wishes to meet with the supporters’ organisations is that the bidders see Spirit of Shankly – ShareLiverpoolFC as key stakeholders in the Club and the views of supporters are critical to the way they approach any deal.

They have made it clear that any discussion would be entirely without prejudice, in order to learn more about Spirit of Shankly – ShareLiverpoolFC, what the organisations want and to see if there are mutual areas of agreement.

We cautiously welcomed the approach and restated our position, made clear recently, that we are keen to engage with those charged with selling the Club and any credible potential purchasers. We recognise that the intentions of any potential purchasers need to be thoroughly examined prior to any purchase of the Club and involvement and discussion with supporters is key to that.

However, the Club, their agents and any potential purchasers need to recognise where the supporters’ organisations came from – they were born out of the betrayal by the current owners of promises they made when they purchased the Club and their action and behaviour afterwards.

In the same way that no potential purchaser will commit to any wish list from the supporters, Spirit of Shankly – ShareLiverpoolFC will not supply any endorsement to any potential purchaser without the most rigorous of examinations. This examination will include:

1. That they will be proper custodians of Liverpool FC recognising and never forgetting the unique nature of this Club;

2. That they invest proper equity into the Club to eliminate the current debt and to provide the funds to undertake the capital expenditure necessary to rebuild the Club including a solution to the stadium challenge and sufficient funds to allow the team to properly compete on the field;

3. That they are serious about engaging positively to seek ways in which the supporters are able to obtain an equity stake, with proper representation at Board level, within the Club

Hopefully a takeover will happen soon :confused:

Pacheco handed new number !

Liverpool have handed Daniel Pacheco the No.12 jersey for the new season.

The Spanish starlet, who made his first competitive start for the Reds in the Europa League clash with FK Rabotnicki last week, takes over the number from Fabio Aurelio after the Brazilian opted for the No.6 shirt.

Other players to have worn the No.12 jersey for Liverpool in recent years include Ronnie Whelan, Jerzy Dudek and Sami Hyypia.

Pacheco previously held No.47 at Anfield.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
