Whoever is the next manager, it will take serious guts for him to keep Lucas.. even if he thinks Lucas is good, or with no money to buy a replacement.. few fans want to see Lucas smiling and shaking his head again in a LFC shirt.... Remember how Diouf was shown the door as soon as Houllier was fired....

rafa has the obligation to take Lucas with him!

yes!! pls take along aqualanlan and dirty kite!!!

obligation? hmmm, then he needs to take Aqualani and Degen with along too

Yeap yeap... if he does not take Lucas with him we will drop him on his head, see.. we oblige him! Aquilani, I am not sure, I am one of those that think that maybe he should be given a second season-chance and hopefully he will prove good - maybe he is not worth 18mil or whatever we paid for him but he might at least prove good enough to wear the LFC shirt (it does make you wonder why Rafa paid that kind of money for a player who was injured.. suicidal tendencies like those Houliler had during his last season).

Degen  who's Degen!! :)

Oiii dirty kite sometimes scores in the x-box you know!

if its some other proper wingers, we would've created more chances and might be in the top 4 and lifted the FA Cup and the Europa Cup this season! :bsmilie:

But then we would have had only Babel playing out of position.. that can't be right... we need to buy plenty of strikers to play wingers for RB's fun and fans frustration! Play lah, play Ngog as a striker and see what happens to you.. see lah, now fired.. happy or not!!!??? :embrass:

To be fair to Rafa, he had to deal with a lot of politics, maybe some of us would also have left our jobs when the level of politics reached at such a level (then again, maybe 6mil would have sweeten the deal a bit..)..

But good luck to him 'cause he is going to need it.. you see, unlike LFC, Inter Milan have just done the treble, now coming 7th after the treble... well, its not as if they will give him time to even drift anywhere close to that...

So yes, we are in a mess, yes I wished the yanks had left BEFORE rafa, yes I wished that chel$ki fan left with the yanks - who in the right frame of mind hires a Chel$ki fan at LFC? oh yeah, the same people who wanted to bring in Cleanman!) yes I wished some of the players he brought in LFC go with him.. but now its the time for Rafa to also deliver as good as the Special One has delivered at Inter Milan.. or else the Italians will show him that talking only about the next game may not be sufficient to save his seat... Lets see how long he survives there.. best place and time to prove his critics wrong and his supporters right.

Rafa has left, good luck to him even tho i still regard him as a legend for bringing home our 5th big ears...im sure he'll still be doin fine elsewhere coz he is a great manager though it'll be extremely hard to repeat what moanrhino has done at inter...

as for LFC...hmm...im juz hoping we can keep our core players...tho i think 1-2 will leave...

manager-wise...i'd prefer hiddink BUT we juz cant afford him...then i'll settle with hodgson, juz bcoz hes got experience at inter...

BUT I WANT THOSE STUPID YANKS OUT!!!!

I cannot believe that you don't see that Cheesecake is as suited as anyone else :o

G-string team motivation on.
Low wages on.
A coffee shop manager on.
A lifelong fan on...

didnt anyone read post #701?

i prefer someone younger... around 40 to 50, able to work on a tight budget, produces result with very limited team.

to be honest... david moyes is a very good manager, even though i hate to admit it.

martin o'neill ain't too bad either!!

redknapp n hodgson, no disrespect, but they are pretty advance in years and soon enough, we have to look for someone new.

BUT, if they can produce results, again, i wouldn't mind.

we need someone who is a man-manager and is able to link with the players.

cc oreadi setting himself up..
plus, cc comes rite after cb..

King Kenny returns!!

Liverpool could break even on Rafa sacking following Inter move
source :

Liverpool will be handed a much-needed financial bonus from Inter Milan's decision to make Rafa Benitez their next manager.

The English club had agreed a £6million-plus compensation package with the Spaniard when he was sacked last week.

But the initial up-front payment was less than £3million, and now, with the 52 year old walking straight into a new job, no further payments will be made under the terms of the severance deal.

In fact, Liverpool may not be out of pocket at all, after their decision to part with their manager, following the disastrous campaign which culminated in a disappointing seventh-placed finish.

They will be due compensations themselves from the Italian club, when, as expected, Benitez takes his backroom staff with him to the San Siro stadium.
