Woodlands-Tampines match abandoned

Match No.137 of the NTUC Income-Yeo's S.League, played between Woodlands Wellington and Tampines Rovers on 5 September 2007, was declared abandoned at 9.20pm after 60 minutes of play.

The abandonment came following a mass walkout by the Woodlands players and staff.

Woodlands were trailing 0-2 at the time of the incident, having seen midfielder Hasrin Jailani sent off in the 53rd minute for a foul on Tampines Rovers midfielder Mustafic Fahrudin.

Tampines defender Shariff Abdul Samat subsequently scored the first goal in the 56th minute, and striker Noh Alam Shah made it 2-0 in the 59th minute.

After the second goal was scored, all the Woodlands players walked off the field instead of resuming play.

At press time, S.League Competitions Division has indicated that it will determine the final result of this match at a later time.

All tickets purchased for viewing the match will NOT be refunded.
