Liverpool is just plain luck to get away with the 3 points. Hope they will lose the 4th place to Newcastle. :thumbsd:

I agree liverpool hardly threatened but to be fair and honest, they were hardly threatened as well.

ManU had a lousy day and kudos to liverpool for capitalising on that.

Its a good day on the red half of merseyside.

Stop the press! Someone from Liverpool can actually convert their spot kicks! I must be dreaming! It's a miracle! Hallelujah! :D

liverpool have sent the red-faced devils back to hell where they belong! not a pretty performance but a very well deserved victory nonetheless!

here u go!

hahahahahaha!

we won and got the 3 points! that's what matters!!!!!!

Losers Weepers!

Hmm. Guess what the phone lines were full of today?

Get rid of the manager. He's losing the plot.

His signings have been crap.

The sooner he goes the better.

We need to be more offensive.

Except I'm not quoting Wong Se this time. And the manager in question is Fergie. Football fans...

But newcastle is winning... 2-1 against chelsea... sigh... :(

be hopeful, be very hopeful.

now level on points with a game in hand for the Magpies...
tough time ahead!
not to forget Aston Villa!

win 1-0 MU does not save our season.

Is our aim for the whole season to beat MU at Old Trafford ??
If it is, then we have a successful season.

We dun favor for a manager just for 1 game performance or having a view not to have a particular manager from 1 game result.

I would rather we can proceed further in UEFA CuP, League Cup and FA Cup (or at least win of the Cup trophy), close the gap between ARsenal and Liverpool , would have played Chmapion League this season, and lost to MU.
Rather than the other round.

Manager is being called for a replacement based on 1 or 2 seasons performance, not because they can/can't beat MU in 1 game.

Let us put this way...are u happy with Liverpool performance so far for this season ...if yes....then there is no point to address on the issue...since the platform are very different.

I am extremely sad with this season.

but I would rather more interested to see what LFC is going to do in order not to repeat to this season poor performance.

buy more player ??

$ do not guarantee success.. Chelski had spend more money than any club this season, > GBP120m million ...where are there ?? they will end the seaosn no trophy.

Monaco is a poor (financially) team. They dun even have enough $ available to buy a good striker and they choose to loan Moreintes from Real. Average age of the sqaud to beat Chelsea 3-1 is below 23. The other squad member is no big star.

Individual skill, they are obvioulsy less superior than Real Madrid. WHy they managed to kick Real out of Champion League ??

The winnig mentality, the pyhiscal ability, the confidence and morale amongst the squad, the tactics, the strategy, the team work ....

Who is reponsible to create these factors ??? the player ?? no....it is the managerial role and task ....

I am not against Houllier, but I am agaisnt him to be LFC manager.
he promised he will take 5 years to mount a serious challenge to EPL tittle.
(he did not say he would win it, it is ok for me )

This is his 5th year, do we think think with such a gap between Arsenal and Liverpool, we are having a challenge for the tittle ??

Omigosh! Liverpool converts another spot kick! Hold on . . . Heskey scores as well! I must be dreaming again! It's another miracle! Hallelujah! :D

:D
well done ah!
keep it going and keep it real!!

4th place in sight :) was Murphy the one who converted the spotkick again?

that's right!

What I am afraid that is Liverpool win against Birmingham and draw to newcastle. Aston Villa take the advantage and capitalize the opportunity to clinch 4th spot. :bheart:

Of course the ball is on my court and the faith is on our hand....If we manage to win the remaining match...we will be in CL. Cisse will come...Owen will sign a new contract....etc...

Finger crossed and hope the best....

hopefully, next season will see a better challenge from the team. read in the papers that several big names in Serie A will be moving for close to nothing.... maybe Liverpool can capitalise and grab some good ones.

GETTING THERE!
all the way!!!!!

news reports were saying that Emile Heskey's bound to leave Anfield at the end of this season...

that's a very sad news to me. he's a very useful player, isn't he? huge, strong, pacy, strong in the air... but he's not cut out to be a winger! hehe

an impressive performance. about time they got their bite back.
