Wish list...
Nikkor 28mm F1.4

it will be true in 24 months time. :)

I have just joined the dslr grp with my D80 so currently only have Nikon 18-200 VR :)

Wishlist : Nikkor 105 VR || Nikon Prime Lens 50mm F1.8 || Sigma AF 10-20/4-5.6 DC HSM || Tamron 90mm Macro
;)

should get 2nd hand 105mm Micro from Nikon or 150mm Macro from Sigma. :P
I used to own 150mm Macro from Sigma and 90mm Macro from Tamron. Think Sigma is better (in terms of color, sharpness, build and noise), but more expensive too.

Wish list:

28mm F1.4
85mm F1.4

As i've tried D200 and decided to go into photography line.
My wish lenses list are:
1) AF-S 17-35mm F2.8
2) AF-S 70-200mm F2.8 VR
3) Tokina ATX Pro 12-24mm F4

Heard/seen post that HK lenses are cheaper then SG. Can go with budget airline and grab all wanted lenses during next 3months.

Slowly look ard to see if there's any gd & available 2nd hand lenses in town for grab :)

Tact sharp.......I also have Nikon 60 & 105 Macro. Equally

Just started DSLR last month with the following:

1. AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED (My first lens!)
2. AF 50mm f/1.8D
3. AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED (My favourite!)
4. AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED

Contemplating to get a AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED but already had a well-covered range. Sigh. No strong motivation to get it, though heard so many good things about it.

If I were you I will sell away the 18mm-135mm lens & get the 18mm-200mm VR lens:thumbsup: :bsmilie:

There's no real need to do that. The 18-135 and the 70-300 are already overlappping by so much. To get a 18-200 is just an unwise usage of funds. It can do what the 18-135 already can, plus a little bit more reach and VR, and it's almost three times the price of the 18-135.

I would love to do that but recently a bit overspent. So need to wait awhile.

My experience with 70-300 VR is really good, which I think is attributable to the VR feature.

Therefore, I would think that the VR feature in 18-200 VR would be helpful too in increasing the chance to get sharp pictures. The price to pay for it is a major road block. Also the increase in weight to carry compared to 18-135 is another factor.

Nevertheless, I may still get it later, just not now. :bsmilie:

Or you could just sell your current kit lens and try to get a 18-70 to reduce the overlap. I believe that VR will be the most useful at the longer focal lengths, and 70mm is probably the cut off anyway.

VR for anything shorter than 70mm would in most cases be unnecessary.
