Hi, I've been a reader in this forum for quite sometime, its about time to start being a member :)
I'm currently a NSF, doing Videography for 3Div. My true passion in this field is to make movies, but considering the budget for my production and the income I get from my little allowence from the SAF - The next best thing to do is to take up commecial jobs; weddings and event coverage.

My entries to film festivals and competitions manage to contend to the finalist postion this year Canon DV Fest 06, and last year Mediacorp's Project Pen Pilot.
I've done several event coverage stuff - church, weddings and I was lucky enough to be hired to do a coverage for a GRC event which featured our PM lee.

Right now, I'm trying to produce greater shortfilms, produce impressive event videos and have fun at the same time - And achieving such a dream is only possible with a community of friends and support.. With this I guess I shall put my name in the Videography list.

just curious how many heres are independent freelancer (part-time and full-timer),
how many actually owns a poductions hse (registered office and proper setup)?
and how many using home office?

Who me? I'm completely out of the profession now, but the practical skills and the critical eye for video shots are well-etched in my schema. So... if I need to do a credible video segment, I believe that 'my sword is not yet blunt' (the Chinese would describe it as "bao3 dao1 wei4 lao3").

Do transfer your valuable experiences to the video newbies here so that the 摄像真功 (true videography skills) will not be lost forever :)

sharing of experience no problem la.. but to teach i maybe not tat qualified.. my skills so so oni ;p ... believe there are many people out there are very very good.. many 卧虎藏龙.. some oso have experience in film camera which i never handle B4 :(.. some maybe young but very creative.. :cool: but well, we can diffinately learn from each others..
