Hi all...
Bit of a idea has been floating around a couple of us for awhile now and admittedly I have been procrastinating in bringing this up to the RF community, so since we seem to be getting together more and more, and in light of the highly successful events, golf, 2 weeks ago (The RF Masters at Laguna), last weekend (JC shootout) and yesterday night (Chomp Chomp "chimp & chomp"): so here goes......
Thomas, Vince and I were thinking of forming the RFUG/RFGA (Rangefinders Users Group, or Rangefinders Goofers Association, Rangefinders Geek Association, substitute the "g" for anything you like....its just a working title now), gather up some like minds, share information and organize events and gatherings even overseas photography trips. Basically to share in a more organized and formal way. In a sense think of it as a neo-"clan" association. Even to setting up a webpage for the clan, etc etc....I dont have the entire thing worked out yet, but I figure once everyone gives their 2 cents, we would then use try to integrate all the ideas out there....
So to try to begin, I would like to gather up interested parties (eventually we will need all contact info but I dont think we should postup online for fear of telemarketeers) and opinions.... what do you guys think?
