Leica Camera Japan has announced a limited edition white version of the M9-P. Set to commemorate the opening of Leica Daimaru Tokyo, the camera features all of the amenities you’ve come to expect from the juggernaut photography manufacturer – choosing to dress it up in a rare colorway to add to its mystique. This white kit comes with a silver Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 lens and a leather strap. Limited to just 50 units, the camera will retail for ¥2,620,000 JPY (approximately $31,000 USD)

Would love to have the silver Noctilux. ;)

just got a mild heart attack.....;p

The white Leica script on top reminds me of someone's M3 w/ 21 Avenon :D

can u imagine the white leatherette getting stained easily once the camera is used....the choice of color so obviously means the camera is not meant to be used

i guess the color white makes it appropriate for use as a prop in wedding photography

Buy 10 units can exchange for a Condo.

isnt this just a leatherette change?

actually, not too intrigued by the body... but wonder if the chrome 50 f0.95 asph will be limited to 50 pieces??

Don't look now - but the special editions are coming out in increasing frequency. That can only mean one thing...

I smell an M10 on the horizon. :D

That horizon is only 5-6 weeks away !!

Wonder why they keep coming up with special edition digital M....

What about all the analogue M?

Think its about time they release a analogue M...

China has a limited edition M7 with 50 Lux kit, Taiwan has a limited edition MP, Vienna has a limited edition M3P with silver 0.95 Noc etc. all this within the last 6 months.

Hmmm... zixaw bro does have a point.

But may be I should fine tune my statement.

What I mean is analogue M model that comes in special material or color. Not those with engravings only.

The China one is black with green ostrich leather.

The Taiwan one is dark grey.

The M3P is chrome but it is an M3P, only 20 in the world.

One thing to note, the current model film cameras have been available for a long time and there are already tons of limited editions with tons of different material combinations. Furthermore you can always ala carte a M7 or MP, which makes every M7 and MP potentially unique.

MP, titanium edition, hammertone, Hermes, anthracite etc
M7, titanium, Hermes, Xinhai Revolution etc
