In case anyone is interested, I own both the original Op/tech Pro straps as well as two of these Nikonians.org straps. They are similar in construction but I have to agree that there is a slight difference in the neoprene material between the two versions. It *might* be that the Nikonians' strap is newer and have a slightly newer or improved material batch compared to the older stock but it still does its job very well in distributing the camera/lens weight around the neck. I can check with the guys to get to the bottom of this quality issue.

Oh, before anyone else ask the questions:

Hi guys, I bear good news!

Darrell had answered to our request citing that they can commit a total of 15 straps in 3 batches (4+1 straps x 3 batches). This means that we have to fulfill 5, 10 or 15 straps in order to proceed. For example, if there is only 11 straps, than we will have to go ahead with the first 10 while forgoing the 11th so as to be fair to everyone that committed earlier.

I hope this is clear enough for everyone

To SzennyBoy: Hi! Thank you for giving us your insight! I really appreciate Darrell and Bo's help in this, they are nice enough to take the trouble to discount and export the strap to us despite the fact that they are still trying to fulfill their present demands in USA and the EU. Kudos to your team of dedicated Nikonians!
