hmm mainly i shoot between the 14-45mm range i need the wide angle when they get close so thought of trying the 14-35 1st but some said its slow ??
thats why i considered nikon
will seldom hit the 70mm range and above.
mainly client wants shots of people sort dancing into their finishing pose and stuff. so i need a good wide angle.
telepht wise i can stick with my 50-200.
i cant afford toooo many things !

sometimes at one time there is like 12 COUPLES on the dance floor so telephoto wise will be abit hard from what i have tried.
only till the finals or something then would be useful

i want the pen for its compactness. beats bringing the e-3 around all the time !!

Looks like you should consider the 12-60SWD for the job. Never let me down.

Well, Singapore got no 4 seasons... OMG I am stuck in SG!!!

I heard jumping ship and something about Canon????

but well, I strongly believe Olympus next flagship will be something amazing and able to do something better then current Canon Pro APS-C system (7D).

My own view on 7D better then E3

Other then better noise performance ,resolution, FPS, 19point, AF speed on USM lens (I neither own nor try non USM lens apart from my Tamron 180 Macro) better LCD output, Liveview AF and some little gimmick on 7D which is better then E3.

BTW I prefer canon flash system maybe Nikon is better, I havnt try.

I been asking my dear friend who is waiting for next pro body to wait if she can and not jump.

Well, every system has its pros and cons, like I have always said. But personally the Canon image quality is what turns me off... every other area I think the Canon 7D blows the E3 out of the water.

bro there is some event going on for e-club, can I still join? I am still e-club member mah, right?

E-Club is not under my control. ClubSNAP-Olympus events you are always welcome. Not too nice to turn up at a E-Club event with a 7D, don't you think? But I don't think E-Club folks really mind, just that I think it is not nice lor... LOL! Your own call.

this one I know... So I am not attending lor! what to do.

i have the 12-60mm and the 50-200mm.
agree its a good event lens.

only issue is the iso noise produced..

actualy i would love a 12-60mm F2.8 or something like that.

we hardly get a F2.8 zoom lens ecept the SHG lens and 50mm etcetc

Actually could be healthy as the pics with similar scene, lighting etc can be compared from both Canon and Olympus cams...

its been missing since few shows back...

great!! so much info gotten. So there is life in 2010. like that i will drop the idea of getting e-30 and spend on 12-60mm first.. :bsmilie:

oh yah guys .. a noob question here..

Is there any disadvantages if i use e-520 with 12-60mm??

correct me if im not wrong.

the 12-60 only with the e-3 then will be able to bring out the SWD capabilities right. ?

otherwise pretty much the same but i guess should have a faster focusing rate compared to another lens on the e520.

disadvantages, shouldnt have any except wieght balance. ??????
i feel that its more balanced when put with the e-3

SWD are ultra fast motors on those lenses with "SWD" badge.

Even when using non-SWD lenses, the camera still perform better than the other cameras in the E-System. Take into consideration that the E-3 is afterall a flagship camera.

The 7D might be better than the E-3 but it's not better the anything. ;)

The Nikon D300s, like its predecessor catches my attention quite consistently but I'd go kicking and screaming.

Now that the APS-C sized sensors are at similar pixel densities to Four-Thirds, I expect to see some improvement on Four-Thirds, past what we've seen with the E-P1 and DMC-GH1/GF1.

Whatever Olympus make, it had better be appropriate for the year it's available, not one or two years earlier, the way the E-3 was.

Canon 7D can Never BLOW E3 out of the water.

cos it can be submerge into the water.

I know that cos I always take photos with my kids playing in the Zoo water park.
when ever the lens got fog up. I will just dip my E3+12-60SWD into the water and the fog will be gone.
I even stand under the downpouring few hundreds of liters of water .

Thats what the Canon 7d cant do.

I JUST love my E3 (saying that I still have my Canon System with 3Canon bodies a few L-lens)

Is that meant to be a joke?Or you took Microcosm's words seriously?:bsmilie:

Mine is also a Joke..;)

But me dipping my E3 into water is true

I never doubt that,Microcosm told me stories of what he did to his E-1 back then, and what he does now,and I personally do some scary stuff (to other users):bsmilie:

wow..impressive waterproofing test to the max!
