Wah lao ah....this thread is on page 3! I up it! :bsmilie:

Anyway........I think

There are many captains wannabe in the England squad. Do you guys think that it is harmful or good for the team? Players like Owen, Gerrard, Rio and Terry are clamouring for the armband.

Gerrard fanboys, pls dun tell me that he is the best captain. :bsmilie:

We are not debating who is the best lah. If best, Owen will prob be the one.

I'm asking for views if will too many captain wannabe harm the team or is it good?

doesnt matter if there are too many wannabes... as long as there is one good captain on the field

hmm i've played in a team with too many wannabes before..
come to think of it.. I think most of the time it wasn't good for the team

So you think its neutral? No harm but also not good?

Yup i think that its good to have capable captains in the wings waiting to take over but will it be too disruptive? I mean, will they eventually have ideas of their own.

Currently John Terry, Rio, Owen and Gerrard agree that Becks should lead but when one day when Becks ****-up......

Anyway, Owen is the assistant cap according to Eriksson. I think Rio will be my last choice as cap cos he is not cap of his own club. Terry and Gerrard are captains of their clubs.

it depends. If the wannabes are trying to take over job of the captn, then it becomes disruptive. too many cooks spoil the broth..

it will work if like... the cap'n is a midfield... then have an asst capt who is a def or gk to help.

anyway i think it's time to change the cap'n. but obviously erik doesnt think so

wa say... dun even doubt it! the best man for the job is GARY NEVILLE!! :bsmilie:

he's the man!!! :bsmilie:

the Midget is not fit to be captain.... he doesn't motivate his fellow players, how to be captain?

Gerrard or Lampard will be my choice, however, if Terry is playing regularly, i will go for him.

i think suddenly owen will realise he is going no where in his career after getting slammed for no rhyme or reason.. hehe..

captain? i think probably john terry...

'After talking with my assistant Paco Ayesteran, who controls the fitness coaching, we no longer believe it's impossible he'll play this season.

RB on DC

Cisse? Expected, as i dun think Rafa will risk him.

I also think you will not see Kewell, possibly forever, as he will prob be sold.

i disagree with this view on Owen! :bsmilie:
hey... he's earning $$ just by keeping the real madrid's bench warm! an occasional run-in at 70mins of the game and scores a couiple of goals when the opposition's tired, y not?

remember, he can never earn so much dough by staying with Liverpool! furthermore he has to break into sweat after sweat in the Reds of Liverpool as compared to looking good on the bench of madrid and collect big bucks, that's a no brainer! :bsmilie:

owen!! owen!! 8million quid bench warmer! :bsmilie:

yah... risk and later break leg again. :bsmilie:

kewell should sell him to some turkish team like where the big sulk went to. :D

Sometimes i also wonder whats wrong with Liverpool. We seems to have lots of injuries and problematic players.....

Kewell was a model player for many before we come to liverpool..... dun say abt Stan Collymore, since he's a baddie before he joins...

think kewell won't get a chance to play for Liverpool again esp. after the comments he made abt Rafa.

bad choice of words!!

anyway, he don't contribute much to the team lately whenver he plays. erratic play and performance from him. he's like a spentforce! maybe we should sell him off to Real Madrid for 30million quid by convincing them that he's the player he once was! hohohoo!
:bsmilie:

aiyoh...... 70mins liao still Goal less......
