so, maybe i made the right decision in heading back to bed.

This morning game is such a disappointment. Except for the defence, in particularly Warnock, the rest of the team played terribly. No passion, no urgency.... Even Gerrard is very subduced.. I wondered could it be due to the allegation that Chelsea had sign Gerrard and told Ashley Cole during the meeting....

just sour grapes from me. really disappointed with the result. i expected blackburn to be tough but i also hoped the lads to rise to the occassion.
would like to see a little spirit from the lads. too many times this season we were too easily rattled or failed to pick up our game when the going got tough. too soft and no fire in most of the players. that's what disappoints me most, not so much not finishing fourth. some of them seemed to have no pride in the shirt they wear. there were times when the team showed some guts but not often enough. c'mon guys :cheergal:

letme guess. not so much sad or anything but kinda..empty? that's how i'm feeling. my heart sinks everytime we play but i guess will just hope for the best and keep playing football manager 2005 to destress. at least gerrard is still in that team and the virtual liverpool could usually score a few each match. defence sucks though :bsmilie:

the derby lost some luster now cos we failed to close the gap significantly. we are still 7 behind, as opposed to 5 that we had hoped. that kind of gap would take a huge everton mistake to close. still possible lor, but it is a significant difference

anyway, i'm not sure if fergie staying that long is that good for man utd. he's great as a motivator but i think it may be better off if he goes in 5 years or less. sometimes you can overstay your welcome. i just feel that if he's around too long, things can get stagnant at old trafford. maybe take in keane and giggs as coaches and then let them learn the ropes. think those two may make a good manager/ assistant manager pair in the future.

funny you should mention fergie. i was playing FM2005 just now and my liverpool was playing man u next. the old fart and me spent the whole week trading insults. then my team won...it was so nice to have the last word (or insult in this case). could almost imagine him with his red nose and THAT look. too bad got no option to throw soup.
a virtual life is so much more satisfying than real life sometimes :bsmilie:
