Arsenal lost 3-1, Chelsea lost 2-1, Man Utd lost 1-0
Only Liverpool win 3-1. :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

haha...u r rite.....

i guess Carrol has not recovered from the hit on his head during the game against Everton...heh

irony of soccer.. the team who is at the lowest position in the English League among the 4 English teams, has the highest probability of getting to the last 8 of the CL.....

hai.........

Must be. I think Carrol must be still seeing stars now. :bsmilie:

all 4 results are disappointing :bsmilie:

anything can still happen in the next round. chelsea is down by only one goal.
and they have an away goal too. man utd lost at home, which is bad for them but fergie's boys, unlike us :dunno: , have the confidence to perform well even on away games so they can still reverse the situation. arsenal have their away goal but i feel they are in the worst position because their confidence is suspect and they possibly could self-destruct in their home game.
as for us, 3-1 is a good score but could be better if it was 2-0 instead. i'm worried about the away goal cos we are poor away and bayer is a good attacking team. they get an early goal in germany and we're in trouble. fingers crossed.

defensively, i felt we are stagnant. our defence is suspect and we often make mistakes that could cost us. seems to me that our defence still plays like four separate players doing their own things rather than a single unit. and against teams that could move the ball quickly, we often panic and screw up. my heart jumps whenever i see
a) skillful players running at the defenders near the edge of our area
b) quick passing movements (we have trouble closing down one-two plays sometimes. too slow to read it)
c) speedy wingers on the flanks (especially if josemi is playing). dudek's ability to handle crosses doesn't help much in this either :dunno:
d) corners (dudek is sure gonna punch it....or our markers would go to sleep)

the score line reminds me of lions vs indons in tiger cup 2004 :bsmilie:
they too scored an added time goal.

Anyway... they will be all out attacking right from the start. If pool catch them on the break, it's game over for them ;)

Let's just concentrate on beating Chelski first ;p

yup, one competition at a time. let's pray for some semblance of consistency for a change

Glad to know that there are Liverpool fans in CS.
