:nono: afbug is no Liverpool fan. ;( I am a ! I support other English teams only in Euro competitions. I post here cos i like to talk about football and interact with other football fans.

No need to think, confirm afbug is a Man Utd fan. :bsmilie:

yup! me too!!

me too liverpool fan. i love liverpool. Win, loose, draw, still love liverpool. But if u ask me why i love liverpool, i really don't know. I've been following them since early 80s. use to like other teams like Chelsea when Ruud Gullit (one of my favorite player) was their manager. but somehow the feeling is so much different.

So don't ask me why. I JUST LOVE LIVERPOOL!!!

intruder alert!!!..... :flame:

aiyah, despite it's name, this is a thread about football. if you like football, you're welcome. as long as this doesn't become like some threads on HWZ where some juvenile people make really boh-liau comments.

football on tv is just 22 guys chasing after a ball. it's only fun if you have loyalties and rivalries to talk about. cheers

back to the main and real thing, LIVERPOOL F.C...

anyone catching the game tonight? ;)

Alonso is out for the rest of the season.

No choice. How come Terry, Lampard, Robben or Duff never get injury?
When will they ever get injuries? :dunno:

Lampard named England's best

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has emerged as the overwhelming choice for England fans' player of 2004, beating Wayne Rooney into second place.
The 26-year-old claimed 40 per cent of the vote, with Rooney behind on 16 per cent, while David Beckham and Michael Owen did not even feature in the top five.

Instead, Steven Gerrard was third, with Ashley Cole fourth and Shaun Wright-Phillips, who earned just three caps in the entire year, in fifth place.

Lampard told the Football Association's website, which organised the online poll: 'This award means a lot to me.

'I was surprised to hear I was in the lead because I was up against the likes of Wayne Rooney, but to win is great. It's an honour to have fans up and down the country think that highly of me.'

Lampard became an England regular during 2004, earning 13 caps and scoring six goals, while forging an impressive central midfield partnership with Gerrard.

Sven-Goran Eriksson declared: 'Congratulations to Frank, he's been playing brilliantly for England for a very long time.

'He's played nearly all the games for Chelsea for more than two years, and he is getting better and better.

'He defends well, he's a good tackler. He's good on the ball, passes well and scores goals. You can't ask for much more from a midfielder. He deserves it.'

Final standings:

1 - Frank Lampard - 40 per cent

2 - Wayne Rooney - 16 per cent

3 - Steven Gerrard - 9.8 per cent :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

4 - Ashley Cole - 9.4 per cent

5 - Shaun Wright-Phillips - 7 per cent

Steve Gerrard, Gerrard; He'll pass the ball 40 yards; He's big and he's *uckin' 'ard; Steve Gerrard, Gerrard.

 ;)

Sinama is injured last nite, suffering from knee ligament damage..he will be out as well... what the heck * 3 ;( ;( ;( ???

really tough luck this season.. lets hope sinama can still play this season..

i think we played pretty well in a 4-5-1 formation.

looks more convincing going forward with 1 top. thus, the loss of signama pongolle is not that heavy an impact as we've baros, morientes and mellor vying for the 1 top up front.

i will place baros as an advance attacking midfielder with morientes up front. supported by garica, gerrard and riise. hamann anchors.

poor punggol nasi lemak got injured...
lucky smicer will be back soon

Why called us "manure" when we don't call u anything other than Liverpool. I am a ManU fan since the early 70s and have never flamed other supporters and I believe it's not in the true spirit of football fans to do so. Remember, we are called ManU and urs Liverpool and not by any other name. Respect is a two way traffic. :)
