7 and 10 pts behind everton n manu respectively. Come saturday we will beat soton 3-0, nando to score! Charlton will beat gravesenless everton and villa will draw with manu.

i am quite disillutioned now...
all i can say is that, match against burnley is a good experience for the kids...
but otherwise, results was... *sigh*

maybe i am just having prolonged PMS... but i've been moody since dudek was "loaned" to man utd...

how come our own players seem to be sabotaging our chances?
;

at the risk of sounding super corny...
no matter how disappointed we are with the results, we, the supporters will never walk alone!
and! the players will never walk alone too, as they have US!!
unless of course they are walking away from the club...

. Just looking at the table, you will know Rafa is doing a good job, not great but better than Hollier.

Despite the blunders, we are scoring more and conceding less.
Also, we had 1 more point than last season.

I am looking the table. The table tell me that we are 1 more point better than last season. Ok..let assume we have 1 more point now...that dun change the seating at all. If u paid 4m to sack the previous management as compensation, and pay about 30m to enhance the squad, would u be happier if so far this season we are better off by 1 point ??

May be u are..but I am definately not.

All these may not seems much improvement but given that he has to work with new players, much more injuries, no strikers etc. I think he did well

Let not forget that last season we also had many injuries...we lost baros and carranger in the 5th games against BlackRover. Lost Gerrard few games in the mid season, and lost owen for near 2 month after 8th game vs Arsenal, lost CD Hencoz for 1-2 month...etc..

The injuries are about the same situation. I sure would not rate last season injuries was any better off.

last season, Arsenal is the runaway leader and chelsea and Man U only marginally better than us. this season, the top 3 is much stronger and it shows as they break away. Also, we have Boro, Spurs and Everton also player very well. Hence, i think it's a tougher competition than last year.

For other teams to do even much better than us, and other teams alos catching us to kick our heel....a more reality answer would be that we are not improving in parallel with them. They moved 5 steps, we move 1 step, and the conclusion is..we are getting further away.

If u think we have improved..I agreed..by 1 point, that even given to us...nothing would have changed in the table seating.

Of course as I said, we are not judging the new manager so soon after 23 EPL games....but we are definatley not happy with the current standings. Neither Rafa and Gerrard is.

wouldn't get too carried away with the loss. it's a real disappointment, of course, and i'm still crushed about it. but realistically, i'd bet it would have been a tough game even if we had a stronger side. playing away to a motivated side with nothing to lose is never easy. still, i had expected a better show from biscan and nunez as they are supposed to be fringe first team players. it just goes to show how shallow the club's strenght in depth is.
i guess rafa sacrificed the FA cup in hope of improving our league standing and maybe do well in the carling cup and champions league. considering our thin squad, who can blame him. i'd rather lose the burnley game than risk having gerrard injured for the rest of the season. given the condition of the pitch and likelyhood that burnley players are not likely to hold back on the tackles, it would have been too big a risk for the small reward of progressing to the next round.

well, half way through the season and for most of us LFC fans, the gloss is starting to come off from rafa's team. i must admit, i'm anxiously looking over our back as the other supposedly lesser teams are rapidly closing the gap in quality with us even as the top teams pull away from us. it sucks but it's true.

i think most of us expected too much from him. he inherited houllier's team just half a year ago and let's face it, it was not a top-class team . he had very limited funds. we can blame rafa for signing garcia and josemi, but with our funds, our options were limited anyway. who else could we afford to sign? nunez came with owen. i don't think rafa had too much choice as owen already tied our hands. it was probably 8mil with nunez or 8mil without. might as well take a risk since we needed a right winger anyway. as much as i wish we had more players the calibre of alonso and morientes, rafa did the best he could with what he had. could we blame him?
and he got baros doing very well indeed and i'd think, a much better player than he was before. carragher too, he's turned into a real gem for us. and before he got injured, kewell looked on his way back to form.
so i guess all we can do is just sit back and give him our full support no matter how this season ends....and if you're like me, see the dentist often. i think i'm grinding my teeth down to the gums :dunno:

To Me,

If Liverpool Wins, I am damn F**king Happy!!

If Liverpool Draws, I feel..... Haizzz..... Should have done better.

If Liverpool Loses........ WHAT THE F***????????

When I wake up the next morning, I am still a Liverpool Fan. Win, Lose or Draw..... I never give up on them..... I just hope that we can relive the success we had in the 80s soon!!

Go Liverpool Go!!!!!

cheers to that!!!!

this sat is another important game!

at this stage, every game liverpool plays is an important game :bsmilie:

Definitely not your PMS. Dudek is really bad.
Look at him. Should have save that Rooney shot instead of letting it flew under him. Bad timing, big mistake. :nono:

how come now the defence now so jialat....what happened to the hyppia/henchoz golden era of defence?

if it makes anyone feel better, a FULL STRENGHT man utd side had quite a struggle against exeter, a non league side before going through 2-0. our kids could have done better, of course, but let's not demean them by believing the task of beating burnley was an easy one.
as for the henchoz+hyypia defence. i really wondered why henchoz fell so far from reckoning. was never a big fan of henchoz cos i always felt he was inconsistent at times but i thought he'd still feature as a rotation player. hope pellegrino can fill the gap. but honestly, i thought carra this season was way better than henchoz and one reason we were leaking soft goals was that hyypia was not as commanding a presence as he was a few seasons back. and as much as i am a fan of hyypia, he is not a leader. you hardly see him talking to the other defenders and organising the backline. that, i felt, was our weakness. our defence played as individuals and not as a unit cos we lack a leader who can organise it and direct the play from the back. that could be why pellegrino was brought in.

i still think we will beat southampton this sat. ;)

rafa must have something up his sleeve.

stevie G dun go!!!!

Its semi full strength la. No RVN, Rio, Keane etc. Exeter was  . But at least, we got thru. :bsmilie:

Liverpool needs top wingers and revamp its entire defence. Its attack is . Its in the process and it takes time unless you are Mourinho and got megabucks Roman as your backing.

It does... as it mentioned that Man U measure themselves against other rivals.. ie. Real Madrid and AC Milan etc instead of Liverpool, who use to be the standard bearer or the team to beat..

Hmmm......quite true leh. You dun see Sir Alex arguing and insulting Benitaz or Houllier. He only does it to Wenger and Mourinho.

ha ha. i had always loved this quote.

would agree with afbug in that we really need some width. riise is pretty good on the left and if kewell comes back to from, we should be fine on the left. but the right...nunez?garcia?finnan? none of them are good enough so far. and the defence....we seemed to have traded defences with your devils. it used to be that the man u defence will make at least one mistake every 90min. now it's us....... :dunno:

anyway, i think even " the devil mouth from hell" sir alex would have a hard time trying to stir rafa up even if he wanted to. rafa is a real pro and he seem to prefer to do his talking on the pitch.

wahahhahaa
go go go!!!!

LIVERPOOL~~~

so glad to hear that! a new keeper would keep dudek and kirky on their toes. he lacks experience but i hope he can fit in well.
as for the gunners, i thought they still have stuart taylor who was pretty good but just that wenger insist on fielding "lemon" and not give taylor a chance? will be glad to exchange dudek for van persie :)

btw, i really like your avatar :bsmilie:

LFC will get back to winning ways , losing to man utd was a abmlyse result ( how to spell ) but I have the confident we will get it right. Dudek's mistake is the last straw, we need to replace him. Probably an experience keeper, how about Cudicini ? He is a brilliant keeper if you ask me.

doubt chelsea would let us have him but yes, cudicini would be brilliant. then we have one experienced keeper, one youngster in carson and when kirky decides he had enough of hospital food, he can play a bit too, just for the heck of it. dream, dream, dream...... :)
