We actually played alright. Boro is one of the better teams in EPL and should be in top 6-8 so a draw away is still ok.

I think Reina was ok... his distribution is good and i only recall 1 incident where he flapped at a corner.

Defence, not really tested but i feel warnock seems to be a bit out of his depth... Riise may play better.

Midfield, we killed Boro in midfield. Sisoko is winning most of the tackles while Gerrard are making runs.... Alonso is his usually classy self. Zenden didn;t do much, maybe not fully recovered. ANd i agreed that Garcia is the worst of all... he's too small and not fast enough to play as RM....

Cisses, ok only, shd play more centred.. I would have pull out sissoko, Garcia, put in Cisse as striker, Zenden as RM, Riise as LM ... more balance...and bite.

draw with middlesbrough is ok for me though.. but the main issue was that we dominated the game and yet only got away with a draw.

boro has all the luck for this game.

win would be nice but a draw against boro isn't too bad. it was a match that we could have won and probably should have. boro is a good side and the riverside is never easy to play at. it is still frustrating though because we need to win this kind of games to have any hopes at challenging for the title. but performance-wise we did alright and was the better team for most parts even when 11-versus-11. but the shortcomings i mentioned earlier bugged me.

my biggest worry was simply what i had felt to be lack of adventure in the part of rafa in his tactics especially after boro down to 10-men. i was very impressed by the improvement we showed in the second half though, even before ehiogu was sent off. was worried when we faded in the end of the first. if we can play this well away for all our matches, we should win more than lose. but to challenge chelsea, arsenal and man utd, probably not.

among all our new signings, i am very happy with sissoko in particular. he looks like a young man with great drive and future. almost like looking at viera wasn't it? reina was mostly solid but i still feel he was a little slow to react at times. will be better as time goes by.

am anxiously scanning the website. we need a right winger. garcia just isn't it for me.

If Liverpool have attacked like how they did in last season's CL against Juv, they will be at least 3 nil up. A draw isn't too bad but it will be a disaster if Everton hold United to a draw.

Thats why i like Man United. They will launch waves and waves of attack at the risk of conceding if they're a goal down or need a goal.
Like what Arsenal did just now. Patient attacks broke Newcastle's resistance.

What's there to be upset..? Chelsea struggle to beat Wigan doesn't mean Liverpool cannot beat Wigan mah... we beat Chelsea in CL last season even!

we signed two more promising youngsters. both are centrebacks and 17 years old, a spaniard and a ghanian. both from spain.

nice to see us stocking up on youths. we have hobbs, barragan too but what about other positions? would be good to see us sign some attacking players too.

It;s ok... all these young defenders are exxactly what we need to prepare for hyypia's retirement...

We dun really need many young attacking players as we are going to sign Gonzales (21), the best player in Chile, we still have Mellor (21?) Pongolle (20?) and La Tallec (20?) and dun forget that Crouch, Cisse wtill quite young....

More interesting news is that we may sign both Woodgate and Owen on loan with Baros set to go to Villa.... I think if we sign them on loan, it will be good deal.
