They are just simply too strong. Still remember the matches agiainst tottenham and chalton? Both lost 2-0 after having a man down when the game still 0-0.

Cisse is really bad. His performance for France vs Cyprus in the recent WCQ was absolutely hilarious. I can't remember how many sitters he missed. He seems not to have a head on his shoulders. He just runs fast and then loses the ball or fails to hit the mark. If you watch the really lethal strikers, they tend to be a lot more intelligent on and off the ball. There is greater deliberation in their approach. Right now, apart from the flashy hair and tattoos, he's no different from a lot of the lower grade British strikers who merely try to bulldoze their way or who usually don't really think before they shoot, so they tend to shoot straight at the opposing keeper.
It's possible that he doesn't have the same confidence after his lengthy injury to replicate the form he exhibited when he was playing in the French league. I wouldn't take him to Germany next year if I were the French coach.
The other thing is that, he also doesn't make as much space for other people even if he doesn't score regularly. So even less reason to play him.
Liverpool I think is suffering from a major confidence problem. I think they actually do have the quality but they are just not bringing their game together.
