so, the decision is made. the keyword here is not begging, but rather, putting our views forward. when did u see or read that LIVERPOOL BEGGED TO BE IN THE COMPETITION? ? ? we don't deserve to be in this competition, but hey, we got in through the backdoor, sonny. we all know that. no one disputed it.

but so what? other teams got in through the proper channel and still got bumped out in their first game. we are thankful we got this far and we'll try to progress as far as we can.:)

what else can we hope for? drawing manchester utd? ha!

Put it in a nice way, its not beg. Its the right to defend the title. Put it in a bad way, its beg. Man, there was even a petition in SG for it! :bsmilie: Certain things no need to spell it all out.

I did not say Liverpool does not deserve to be in CL. They do. They got a title to defend. If you remember, i support Liverpool's inclusion to CL for a chance to defend the title.

And cannot compare with other teams that did not make it. I really wonder if Villerreal was the 3rd round opponant, what will happen. :bsmilie: If wanna compare than i think Thun FC or Artmedia are better and greater cos they got less resources/quality. Its the luck of the draw. This you prob know already.

Draw Man Utd? Ahh......even if Liverpool wants, it cannot happen in the group stages.

Now i know why Garcia is crap. He pattern more than batminton. Goes into good positions but finish like a school boy. If his finishing is like Henry, RVN or Owen, Liverpool will be at least 2 goals to the good.

I was just thinking hor... If we buy Mickey back, use Either of them as a super sub, also not bad you know? When pple gets tired we bring them in.... kill opponents with their pace....

They do show euro football... but then must suscribe cable... and must buy the sports package... then must go watch pay per view or pay few hundred dollars a season.... total price close to 1k a year... so not worth it... hehehe

Ya but i mean, there are only 2 clubs playing for it and both also will get medals! :bsmilie: Its not like CL you know? Only the winner and loser get medals, the rest dun get any. A bit like Charity/community shield. :bsmilie: Curtain raiser for CL perhaps.

Opening fixtures for Liverpool and Man Utd are away to the 2 Spanish clubs. :confused: Arsenal and Chelsea are at home to the 2 weaker teams.

Just a though.....
If North Vs South, who will win?
Man Utd tag team with Liverpool Vs Arsenal and Chelsea.

sort of curtain Raiser..... weaken the CL winner a little... so tat pple can kill the CL winners... hehehe

I hardly seen Morientes touched the ball, his position is awful. He always seem missing in a match, mayb he think 'no touch ball no mistake'....sigh...why RB still believe in him???? Sell him (if someone want him...I doubt anyway) instead of Cisse n bring home MO.

no choice. i think rafa will play crouch more when he returns. as for now, he is not likely to field ciise and a half fit pongolle from the start. not to mention they are both pretty similar type of players. i still have faith in morientes and i think he'll come good. owen and ciise are too similar. both one trick ponies. don't think anfield has space to build a stable for so many ponies.

we're still not very steady yet. i hope we can improve soon. nice to win our first trophy of the year though.

garcia scored but i still think he is not good enough for us to play on the wings. too fancy and not enough final product. scoring goals are a nice bonus but it is not the most important part of being a winger. holding the ball, taking it down the flanks and adding width to the game, not to mention providing good crosses, are what wing plays are about. i do hope we can get a proper winger and a CD soon.
