come jan...get a central defender!!! that's what we need most..and next a winger on the right.
we made mistakes and lost to a very good team period. you can say their counter attack is "no horse run". but as benitez has said..it's just one game that we lost..we should now concentrate on the next one.

not good means not good. lousy means lousy. can't hide won't hide. chelski played well and countered really well.

thumbs up to them.

we'll do well next to avoid defeat and perhaps score more goals. hopefully we won't start losing to 'lesser' teams too.

You'll Never Walk Alone!!

man, can't sleep well last evening. too angry!:(

hope we'll bounce back soon.... sad to lose by such a margin to anyone :(

bottom line... we need to score goals without gerrad...

A lot of Cheslea bashin now; surely LFC was and is and going to be a losing side. Benitez was right last night. LFC should not be talking about Chelsea, ManU, Arsenal.

Next week it will be Blackburn, then Fullham, Westham, Villa, ... and so on. Better, don't be complaining about these teams.

everytime i see the number 4 anywhere today, my hati sakit :bsmilie:
anyway, we lost to a better side. such is life as an LFC supporter. We hope but deep down always knew we were not yet the class of the big 3. Most important thing now is to build up the team and at least show that we're better than the rest. once we do that, then we can look to move upwards and shut the nosiy boys upstairs

You know, Chelsea is a class above the rest. I hate to say this but Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool are not going to win the league this season. They're that damn good. Like roborts. They have no problems in the squad or club. Arsenal got Henry's contract to contend with and the lost of Viera, United have to solve the Keane problem and long term injuries to key DCs/SCs. Liverpool's squad is a bit thin, not quite there yet. So its gonna likely be Chelsea.

yup. i think it's chelsea's to lose even if man utd or arsenal has no problems. my worry is that if liverpool don't do well, our star players may leave.
don't need to win the league lah. but i just wanna see more convincing performances. we're missing that something extra, even in games when they are clearly putting their heart and soul into. and speaking of heart, ciise's heart seems to be somewhere else these days. don't see him putting enough in the match. wonder if he and rafa having problems...
c'mon reds. onto next match. :gbounce:

really need to keep the concentration on!!!!!! :thumbsd: :thumbsd: :thumbsd:

They were just beaten by a clearly superior team that had players who could finish.

Based on Chelsea's performance and the way the mistakes are, even Arsenal or Man U may lose 4-1 to Chelsea...

Our team have some serious flaws which is exploited by Chelsea..

1) lack of width, we can only attack thru the middle thru gerrard, alonso etc. Even riise is more of a "move into centre and shoot" type. Of course, not forgetting the lack of a true right winger as Garcia once again proof to be hopeless in EPL... I didn't even notice he's on the field if not for all his miss-passes.

Joaquin is my top pick for RW and hopefully, Zenden or Kewell regains their form.

2) Need for better fullbacks. Finnan still ok except for the horrible complacency in the last goal. Traore is a walking disaster.... He lacks the speed and finesse to be a top defender....

I would like to see someone being brought in... Josemi is also not the answer... Riise prob should play LB then LM. so RB is the problem unless we switch Carra to RB.....

3) No substitute for CD - well, fatigue is a factor i think. Also,Hyypia is supposedly sick but still played on. We seriously need at least one top class CD to replace Hyypia and maybe play Whitbread....

4) No frigging idea what striking partnership. The way i see it, Rafa still haven't sort out his differences with Cisse and haven't decide on what to do. A strike force of Crouch-Cisse (for not so tall but fast defenders), Crouch-Sinama (for not so tall and slow defenders), Morientes-Cisse (for European matches) should be alright... we definitely need 2 strikers as Crouch is more a flick on type of players who will creat chances.... (we shall see if Crouch-owen combo works for england, if it works, it should work for Crouch-cisse or Crouch-Sinama combos.)

agree with you man. that and we need to improve the understanding and teamwork. at times, you can see the team is not playing as a unit. we lack flow and fluidity in our moves, especially when moving forward.

think we can rule out big signings like joaquin. even if he wanna comes, we are not likely to have the funds.

i would say moro/crouch partnering ciise/pongolle is the way to go. or if we're feeling adventurous, crouch in the centre with ciise and pongolle playing off on either side of him

Arsenal rely too much on Henry. Man Utd's def is been crap these days. Liverpool can't score goals. So in the end only Chelsea can perform and win matches. Sad to say most likely they will retain the EPL.

Chelsea's been playing better and better every game. I don't think anyone can beat them in the EPL.

i was really confident that my team can pull off a victory against Chelski. furthermore, we're playing at Anfield. the fullbacks are deployed further upfield to join in the attack very often. the team played really very offensively, in fact the most offensively tactics from Rafa i've witnessed since the 3-3draw with AC Milan.

to be honest, the Duff goal before the stroke of half time literally killed us. very hard to score against Chelski, let alone putting another 2goals past them. they played quick counter, taking advantage of our offensive tactic to devastasting effect.

4-1. what a humbling experience. i hope that i'll never have to go through such abysmal result and performance ever again as a Reds fan. but chances are, there might be a few more defeats down the road, definitely none as damaging as this.

work harder on the pitch and in training! concentrate!!!

i don't think Man Utd nor Arsenal are a match for chelski. the way chelski played last sat, they can rip apart any other team effortlessly.

but its good to be able to hold off makelele, lampard and essien. the midfield is literally controlled by Liverpool. the quick counter and the bullying tactics of Drogba are the main differences.

perhaps next season!

You'll Never Walk Alone!!!!

by the way, John Terry has to be the best centre back in england now. this guy's a colussus in the defence!

Jamie Carragher has to be the next best.
