That sounds reasonable.

I think there's still 2 units left. I was thinking of getting 1 for the fact that it has a swivel head.

Bernard, better go quickly, only 2 left after I bought my second unit. :bsmilie:

:sticktong i will stick to my guns, not getting it...where is the address again ??

wah.. not getting it, but still want address!?

i may need to grab one for my friend in Malaysia who had just got himself a K20D  he is a neutral but decided on pentax after reading the rave review on the internet.

How come still have?? I went down to get but was being told no more stock left...I called once and went down another time personally but no luck. =( Did you guys jsut get the flash even it's not pentax mount?

ishou80, I don't even bother to call as no one will hold an item for you unless they know you in person or unless you've put a deposit beforehand. I just went down and bought it (for Pentax) all within 5 minutes. Maybe you went at the time where they were temporarily out of stock.

i bought the last piece :sweatsm:

 pentax users don't know purchased how many sets from them already this few weeks.:bsmilie:

Think their standard reply is "not sure" or "dunno when will be in". This flash got not fate with me...hahaha maybe after the strobist session then it will appear. =P

longko - just happened i was in town yesterday. i am helping my friend to complete his new pentax set-up he bought recently in malaysia. he paid S$2690 (after conversion from RM) in cash for a 20d body with da 16-50 f2.8 & 55-300 lens. freebies like 2 gB card and bag were thrown in. the good deal was from his dealer friend.

ishou80 - i usually go down after reading about it in the forum here. called to reserve the last piece before going down yesterday. swissco threw in a free tripod-flash adapter, which cost me S$5 when i bought from them the last time.

awwww....next time if I wanna get gotta call u to go with me to get such a gd deal =P

Browsing a digital photography book, came across this thinh called rear sync - can be set. Where can this rear sync be set?

With the SB-3000, it's set on the switch on the back of the flash

S Z>> >>Z
Optical Slave Front-curtain Rear-curtain

Somebody help me please,

I bought a HS-02 hotshoe slave trigger for some strobist fun and it's working very well on Mode 2 with my PTTL on-board flash as trigger

However, the SB-3000 has the auto-shutdown feature (disabled in optical slave S mode) which makes it very annoying for off-camera work.

Does anyone have any idea how to disable/cheat/hack the function?

Don't think can be disable >.< So how far can the HS-02 work? I'm very interest leh:bsmilie:

The DS20S2 flash refused to even fire when mounted on my K100DS. Anyway it doesn't seem like the output on that flash can be controlled so that put me off even more.

So I tried the HS02 instead, and so far it hasn't malfunctioned at all. Only thing is that because it's optical, I need to be careful about where the sensor is pointing. And because my flash tends to shut itself down -.- I have to listen for the capacitor sound cutting off if not I will get no flash. I guess if you are using a SB-3000 with inbuilt slave it's better to get a manual trigger flash on the hotshoe, since the SB-3000 slave mode doesn't have the auto shut-off.

Good thing about HS02 is that finally P&S camera can also use bounce flash!!

Have to announce that my SB3000 is dead.

Can power on, red 'ready' light comes on faster than usual, lightning symbol appears in viewfinder, but the flash does not fire when shutter is pressed nor when the test button is pressed. Charging sound has not changed, it just stopped firing without any warning.

Before this the flash sometimes would not go 'ready' and I had to repeatedly switch off and on again before it will register as 'ready', so maybe that was a warning sign already.

I rmb when I bought the guy said 'Export set no warranty', so I guess I will have to treat it as a write-off?

Hope not because after that rain at AHBT...
