I used VIVDRGB for a while, but after seeing Faiz at work during the Toll shoots, I now tend to shoot more stuff fairly flat and then apply CC in post. I find it is less noisy that way and better for low light conditions.

still a tape to lock the manual focus or something.. so how do u guys overcome the flip isse? Or your versions alr come with the flip? Malcom can u show a pic of your setup? Like to look at the rails especially. Thks.

engr, the rails isnt in yet, so its just dvx+adaptor.
And all our sets doesn't have the flip issue.. we all can put the flip issue behind us now.

hoo nice. U guys on the DVX102B right? Shooting at 25P? I think panny has good marco so it can focus on the GG very well. HVX202 has fantastic offerings as well.

I've uploaded my first test footage and it seems fine.. Me and Malcolm wil bring it for a REAL shoot this friday...

Ok my p.o.v of letus never use it on the XLh1 if u wan than find a direct mount coz h1 lense is heavy to top it of balancing it on the tripod is damn heavy luckily i have the best tripod available it's un imaginable if using 505 or 503 manffroto or semipro tripod . i know there are many enthusiastic young men willing to run around wif the camera handheld but 1nce on handheld even wif the most steadiest pair of hands will have problems wif its weight , the depth issue is great but the image nothing special personally i have to tweak the camera to get correct result if not the colour is not rich at all........
quite flat lah , the abberation ain't that nice either so this kinda equipment must have proper equipment to compliment it's different look, meaning proper gears and u must have time to do it if hit n run it's kinda impossible if u don't have time unless u want the final product look like a kiddo work which nobody 1!

The guy said 18". I'm inclined to believe that - I've got the exact same ones. However, I can't use em yet because my lens support hasn't yet arrived, and the adaptor can't quite reach the rails on its own. I'm still unsure of whether i should use the adaptor in the 'snorkel up' or 'snorkel down' position though.... (the one in the pic is snorkel up). When i first got it i used it snorkel up, but in preparation for my rails I've since changed it to snorkel down.

It makes no difference whether up or down is it? As long as can be support by the rail or any add on support adapter right?

It has to be either "up" or "down" because the camera have to zoom in into a 16:9 rectangle..
