Hi Guys, let me know if you anyone of you are interested to get a pre-owned 35mm adaptor above. The adpator is flipped enhanced, means you will see images upright on your LCD.
The thread size for your camcorder is 72mm.

thanks

so sorry, the letus is comfirmed sold already to the first requested person. thanks.

but hope still have a chance to have coffee with you Hobbes, nice talking to you last evening you sounded so enhusiatic on video stuff! excellent! also seen your productions with Malcom and am just amzed by the kind of planning and coordinating and directing. thats the way to go man.

damn! I thought we could try it out tonight..

Anyways, lets test ur extreme with my econ and see the difference when both of 'em arrives =)

After looking at the pros and cons of the quality and weight i have decided to purchase the Economy. Let me know when your econ comes and if there is any installing problem would love to help out. I have also bought the swappable mount i think it makes more sense, cos i made the mistake of buying the "Nikon Mount Only" letus FE.

also if you need it for a shoot soon next week its better to order asap becos it takes them 3 days to build and courier will take another 3 days if you opt fot the fastest courier options.

hi Bigdaystudio, could u comment on the quality of the device? Is it well made? A user here commented that the Letus Flip is badly made.. maybe yrs is better

this is my first 35mm adaptor and havent used others before but so far am quite happy with it the only gripe is the light lost plus lenses, the total loss of light its nearly 4-stop.
and when you shoot in lowlight somehow the grain from the camera is amplified many times not sure why. But with ample light the image is beautiful. also note that there will be lost of contrast and especially when there is backlight there is very serious spill of light over.

but i still love the image it produce somehow...

The built quality is quite ok. if you are concern of the built you should go for the Extreme version. if not the one i am having and the econ one is plasticky.

i see.. I think the Extreme should be a better device it seems.. the video posted looks good but no one knows for sure what is the final result when more users use it.. Hmm 4 stop is tough!

So Hobbes n yourself r getting the Letus FE together?? Do post some footage if u can. Thks!

He is getting the Letus Economy.

Ah so we have 2 Letus Econ is SG. R u guys getting the rails? Kinda expensive as I have seen so far.. chk out Zacuto universal rails.. realli cool but it cost USD560 for the basic.. Anyone here with the M2 Redrock (personal set)?? would be great to see everything in action..

Nice find Malcom.. price looks more reasonable but I noticed it is similar to the brevis rail pricing. This kit has only the indirail Spro for the rear and 2 carbon fibre rods only. The Brevis kit is more expensive but it comes with 1 more clamp for the rods. One thing I'm confused is it doesnt tell if the setup can be tripod mounted.

Its tripod mountable, and you can purchase an extra rail block to mount your adaptor on, and that'll cost USD$25 from indifocus as well. It's a special order though, so you'll have to email Tim for it. I've just ordered my own set of indirails, and am waiting for him to reply for the adaptor. With a letus FE and a dvx100, it'll look like this: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=1332059917&size=l

interesting so that letus will just rest on the rod? but what is the camera is tiled will it be safe?

Like i said above, you can purchase an adaptor (it can be seen in the picture) that attaches to the rods, and which the lens can rest on. I hear of people who use zip ties to secure the letus to it so that it's secure even when the camera is upside down.

wow so Malcom got yr letus liao wor.. looking forward to seeing photos of the rig man..
