Get a flash to couple with your lens.

Skip the 50mm f1.8 if you do not have a flash yet. The AF accuracy of this lens can be very bad if you do not use proper focusing techniques and/or do not have AF-assist IR beam from an ext. flash.

And not to forget this lens might not be wide enough for some group photos...


And yes, get a decent flash with diffuser.


for lens, 18-135 should be enough.
(For faster lens, you can consider Canon's 17-55mm or Tamron 17-50. Both @ F2.8)

18-135 gud enuf

Must get a gud reliable flash. You dun 1 2 say this.. "wait hor, my flash not ready yet" ..after several shot in a wedding event.
