Lens servicing

Hi,
I just got this old lens from ebay.. 28-135mm f4-4.5.
The lens seem to be working fine.. except that the zooming is tight at both ends..
Is there any place I can send in the lens for servicing... Will Minolta service centre able to do the job?
Any idea what will be the cost?

I sent my to Minolta 2 years ago, they changed the lens barrel and aligned the optic for $60? I heard Sony take over the service and support now. You may want to call KM to check it out.

Called Minolta service centre.. it's now the same service centre as the SONY at Wisma Atrium..
They feedback that they don't service this lens anymore , no more parts support.

Beside Sulhan with the DIY skills.. is there any shop in Singapore that can service Minolta lens?

heard TCW do fungus cleaning, may be they have some experience in that also?
I remember there was one thread in DPreview about someone open up the 28-135mm before.

Actually the posting is in Pbase.. looked thru the process... but but not very confident to do it myself..
The lens is working fine, it's just that I think the mechanical parts need servicing..
I'm afraid that after my DIY operation, the lens won't work anymore :sweat:

BTW, where is TCW? Any contact number?
