Not zoom, prime only, I wish to know also is there any f/1.4 zoom available :think: ?
Actually very difficult to use 50mm at f/1.4 also, the DOF is so small, and the image is not sharp. I think 85mm f/1.4 is sharper at f/1.4.

85mm f1.4 dof will be much narrower than 50mm.

50mm f1.4 should be a sharp lens.... lost of sharpnest can be due to subject movement or camera shake as well.

You have really nice lens collection before, actually my set is quite similar to your, but not as good, time to buy more. Buy Buy Buy :bsmilie: . Just Kidding.

I think most of us have to go through a stage to find out which lens is more suitable for our use, so we tend to buy more than we need, then we sell it away slowly went we found the lens set we need.

That is ture. All those lenses were with my Dynax 9 SLR. You have the AF 80-200/2.8 is it the black or G? I was regret to sell off my AF 200/2.8 G and AF 80-200/2.8 HS G. It was the last lens sold with my Dynax 9 to a person in KL. After you have use a G lens, you will feel like just waken to photography. Canon is not the only one can produce sharp and fast lens.

I planned to buy the AF 70-200 SSM this coming June but fearing I may not shoot as much as my past I thought of buying Sigma 70-200 EX DG. I got quote from John3:16 and Cathayphoto like $3100. The 18-70 and 75-300 are for travel. Local I plan to use 11-18 and 70-200.

I am using Dynax 5D was waiting and hopping the release of 9D. Just went to Cathayphoto check out 7D, $2300. Their 70-200 SSM was sold but I order for 1. Is IT show coming?

If you want to look for cheaper 7D, you may look for one of the member "The Oracle", he got a cheaper 7D (local warranty) for sell before.

But rumour said there will be new DSLR coming from Sony in Summer. Hopefully after Sony take over Minolta Camera section on 1 April, they will announce more details.

Thanks, I will check it out. Maybe Sony will announce new lens with the T* . I read from web Konicaminolta will return to core buiness but still produce lens for Sony. Hopefully the G still around. I wish to get those G for tele and T* for wide.;p
