The photos are nice but the wonton mee is definitely not the authentic kind. Noodles should be at the top!!
can this lens be used for protrait?
By using the macro mode, can i stand nearer to the model?

Yes, this lens is very good for portraits as well. Because its 60mm, that means you don't have to stand too close to your model to take a close up shot. This usually makes the model more relaxed. By using the 'macro mode', it means you can't focus from as close as 20cm, and you will be capturing very close details. Though if you're talking about portrait shots, you will not be probably be using the other setting, which sets focus starting from 40cm range.
I'm liking this lens more than the 45mm/1.8 , now I don't know if I am ever going to use the 45mm anymore...
I got both. Haha! I prefer the 45 tho.

Oops I forgot the 45mm is f1.8 ... that means I will probably still use it for indoor shoots.
The 45mm/f1.8 is also less than half the size of the 60mm/2.8 .
Both are equally sharp lenses, superb quality and not as expensive as most of the other premium lenses, I think its a good deal to get both...
Think we tio poison together.... ya.. a godsend that M43 got a good macro lens..... last time use Nikon DSLR plus Nikon105mm Macro lens Plus SB900flash plus macro flash... end up not taking anything beause the setup too heavy... :embrass::sweat:
I already have both la.. haha... :embrass:
The 45 1.8 is not macro though and does not have a close focusing distance.

Btw, how many of you guys use flash for your M43???
Sure. You can shoot as close as 20 cm from the model. At that distance, you should be able to photograph their nose hair or black head.
