X1 is a very good camera, enjoying it!

A meetup I attended and some kind owners who allowed me to photograph their beautiful cars...

I agree. X1 produces nicer and truer colors than my wife's X100. The details are retained better too.

Just wondering how many are still using this camera.
Still fantastic image quality, If not printing in hugh size, jpg is actually much better than most of the compact but raw is really a thumb up.
Resales market is at average of 1.3k for a great condition sets.
Those interested to get a leica should really consider this as it bring back memories of the olden days where camera is suppose to be that easy to use. Most will not need to read the manual to start using this fantastic camera.

I'm still using the X1...:D wanted to upgrade to X2 but decided to stick to X1 instead. Quite happy with it especially with the image quality. I have a canon dslr with L lens and I find that X1 IQ is still better to a certain degree. :)

The IQ of the leica is really  for a near 5 yrs system. Seriously that's the only compact i own (I own quite a few PNS and 4/3 before) that i don't have to PS and can go direct print out and still get wonderful large photo that i could proudly frame up.
I started with an attitude of just wanting to own a Leica but end up keeping it for all the great quality picture it has produced.

still using it occasionally, usually at more formal/cleaner events (afraid of dust entering sensor). the X2 is no doubt better than the x1, but there is no reason to spend more $ when this camera already outputs jpegs better than what i can do with raw files. my dslr shots (in raw and pp-ed, i don't do pro work) can never beat the x1 (imho, ymmv), unless its a "creative shot" or a shot with strobes.

Still using the X1 and enjoying it!

White balance is superb on this little camera.
